I plan to stay at home and maybe pot some plants. We might put some meat on the grill later today.

Cleaning house and making some desserts for company tomorrow.

I'm watching my 2yr old grandson Connor.

Taking my girls to a friends home on the lake. We want to jet ski together with the neighbors but its plenty windy, so I'm sure the water is rough. We'll see. Sis in law has a vaca home out there too, so we might stop over there. There is always someone to eat, drink and have fun with over there. School starts on the Aug. 14th, we're feeling the pinch!

I feel a little guilty leaving DH and DS home. They are on day two, working on a cement fondation for a large bin DH is putting up this week. I'm sure I'll have to help then.

Having a cookout today for my birthday that was yesterday. Have cake for dessert, and maybe a present or 2. :)

Also gotta clean the ponds.

Hot Dog! I'm getting ready for our annual family vacation that starts tomorrow! Eighteen of 19 of us (Me, Hub, 6 kids, 5 spouses & BFs, 5 gkids) have been going to a wonderful place for the past 16 or so years. I can hardly wait! It'll be chaotic at times, but boy, it's fun!

We have to give up DGS tomorrow :( so I'll do his laundry today and Grandpa will take him fishing again. Then we'll go out to dinner tonight.

I'm going to give myself a home perm. The price at the salon I get my hair cut at, is $49.00 for short hair. I just take my time, and the hair is certainly not rolled as neatly as they do, but always works out. Dottie

I'm really pooped from all the deep cleaning this week. I can hardly move my right arm from scrubbing. LOL! My left hand is worthless.

My Daughter wants an old Hutch that Main Man has been storing junk in that is in the Garage. Great! I'll be able to clean it out and move that yucky chest freezer to the garage.

My Aunt is coming to get the Electric Wheelchair that was my Brother's.

I'm gaining "space". Yes! I'm excited to see all this leave the house even if it means more work for me.

Went to the airport fly-in Lions breakfast this morning and to look at the planes and the helicopter. Since the clouds stuck around, I went on my 3 mile walk. Going to town to find a birthday gift for my best friend. She is hard to shop for..... then the grocery store. Later, we have students coming to take herding lessons this afternoon. Gonna be a busy day. Only hope it doesn't get as hot as is forecast.

This morning at 8 my daughter picked me up and we went to the Farmers Market. Bought corn and green tomatoes for a much anticipated supper tonight. Got home only to find a note from DH saying that he went to New Jersey with a neighbor to help him pick up a boat. Won't be back till sometime after midnight. So there are no more plans other than to loaf for the rest of day.

I found some border at BigLots yesterday that will fit perfect in my recent paint project...gonna hang it today...It was 1.60 per roll...i got enough to do the top and chair rail for under 10.00...a great bargain find!!

Went to the bank and back home this morning, even passing up a couple of yard sales, too darn hot.

Doing laundry, have more to hang out when I bring some in.

Gave the dog a bath and just resting for awhile. Need to sort a bunch of magazines to give away and/or discard.

Go out with my friend this evening, maybe go listen to some bluegrass.

I had to go to the shelter to pick up some possums. I went a little early so I could go to a few yard sales and a thrift shop. Found a few things. I look after an old man who used to be my neighbor. I dropped the possums off at his house to stay in the shade and I went to get some Mexican food and a margarita and some Mexican food for him. Went by the store and then dropped off his food and picked up the possums and came home...only to realize I had forgotten to stop on the way home at the storage unit where we keep some extra dog food. :( Now I have to go all the way back....about 40 miles round trip to get it, so I can feed tonight. I am feeding between 70 and 80 lb. of dog and cat food a night, so too expensive for me to go buy.
Just cooling off a moment before I go. Then I will come home and do my evening chores and start a fire to keep the mosquitoes off the horses. I will be doing good to be in the house by 10 pm.

That must be so frustrating, Marilyn. I don't know how you keep up your pace as it is, and having to go back to get the dog food is a real bummer.

Today, I made a bunch of meatballs for the freezer, and a butterscotch pie from scratch. I made dinner tonight too, but mainly I played on my new computer today.

I had to work today. I'm going to go sit, relax and watch 48 Hours unless it's a rerun.
