Kathy, A lot of things in life aren't so bad, once we get there. When I was in Korea and we used to get a parcel from relatives at home, I'd leave it sitting on the corner of the desk or a table, etc., in a place where we could see it from time to time during the day as we went about our tasks and open it in the evening. Sue found it rather hard to do that ... so we'd only do it occasionally, after she came! That kind of anticipation is much different from yours! But, as Grandma used to say, "Don't cross a bridge till you get there!". She died in 1950. Grandma'd been a farm wife - they have to plan ahead. But if they worried ahead ... they'd get gray hair early! By the way - be careful what you say in the hearing of a kid - it sticks! More likely to if they respect you. If I'd wanted to get upset about not-too-big- issues, I could have gotten upset innumerable times over these 79 years. Last spring when son was with me when the car got smacked -my car, not his (back tire, driver's side - just behind me), he said, after a few minutes, that he was surprised at my calmness ... and I replied that, while some damage had been done to the car, that no one had been hurt, not even a bruise or a sprain, as it turned out, so we were fortunate. It did cost more to fix it than I'd paid half a year before (it's 20 years old) ... but that's only money, and it didn't leave me worrying about how I could afford that month's rent! I hadn't paid anything like new-car price, either. I'm thankful that my body continues intact and to work well. I hope that when you get to be 79 yours works equally well ... even better (I have a touch of arthritis - have you seen the capital "A"s that sometimes appear in my posts, but it's not painful, and a couple of allergies). I'm a bit lazy, too - but I think that's a shortcoming of the brain, or the will, maybe?, rather than the body. Oh, yes - it looks as though I'm to have the lens(es) in my eye(s) replaced with one(s) that'll let me see much better (cataracts). Will learn more on Apr. 29, at appointment with surgeon. Am I worried? A little bit - not much. I'm not a big worrier, I guess. I pray that you will be, too - that we all may become more that way, as well. In the first place ... it doesn't do a darn bit of good! Good wishes for things going well for you in the coming days. ole joyful

I think it'd do other girls a favor if the story stays on the news. I went to Mexico when I graduated from high school. We ditched the chaperones a few times and went to the clubs. There were guys trying to buy us drinks. I didn't know anything about people slipping drugs in drinks at that time. I remember getting a drink and it was so strong that I felt something after a couple of sips. I set it down and didn't drink any more. Most people wouldn't do that. I also went with a group and stayed with the group. I don't think Natalie did that.
