The shark has a carpet attachment for their steam mop, but I have never tried it..I am sure some on here has, hopefully they will see this post and chime in. Ree

How is everyone's mops holding up? I bought the Shark Steam Blaster Jr. - Red (S3210R) Spent half the day Saturday steaming! LOL (This model is very similar to the Rainbow Steamer and Scunci) It worked well. A few minor complaints. The squeegee attachment was useless, water everywhere when I used it on bathroom mirror. I may try using it again on the inside of my shower doors. Many of the complaints I read was the amount of time wasted in refilling/waiting for reheat. I found that you can work out a routine to work around the waiting. The steam lasts for about 15-20 minutes. Then I'd wait 5 min. to cool, let out the steam and refill. I didn't mind the wait. Bathroom: Overall cleaning the bathroom was a success. Kitchen- WOW! I was pleasantly surprised that it was strong enough to remove baked on grease on my stove that I've been trying to remove for months! It took a little elbow grease. A little trick I used was to drop very small drops of dish detergent directly on the stain then blast it with the steam! BINGO! Beautifully cleaned the microwave, oven door, granite counters, sink, and tile floor grout! Unfortunately I could not get baked on grease off the bottom of my pans. - SO... I ordered from Walmart the SteamFast SteamMax Heavy-Duty Steam Cleaner. LOL! I'll report back when I receive it. And I really wish I had checked Sam's Club.com before ordering from Walmart, b/c they carry the Monster SC60 Steam Cleaner It seems a little bit more powerful than the SteamFast. I bought the Sargent Steam about six months ago. It's quite expensive, but I'm a bit nutty about my toys. Also, I wanted the iron that can be attached to the steamer. The steamer makes super hot, rather dry vapor. I'm very pleased with the performance of the steamer itself, and it does have a floor attachment that is pretty easy to use, but I find that most of the brushes and pads that attach to the steam nozzle are awkward to use in many spots, such as the oven, and use a two hand approach, with the steamer in one hand and a cloth or scrubber in the other. The grease and dirt wipe of after being hit with a shot of steam, although burned on grease in the oven took more than a wipe. I'm afraid to use it on my laminate and hardwood floors, but it's superb on the tile in the bathroom, both showers and floors.

Re the seam: I don't allow the steamer to linger over the seam, thinking along the lines of what corky posted. So far, my floor and its seams are fine. Also, I applied the Marmoleum Floor Finish to the floor last week--two thin coats. It's not shiny, just a more polished look and hopefully, provides some protection to the flooring. The floor does show a bit of discoloration by the dog's water dish. He has a beard and is very drippy. We keep it wiped up, but can't be there every time he sticks his face in the water bowl and then looks around, water pouring off the beard.
