This is Crystal (and me), at her wedding last Friday. Crystal is an only child that grew up next door and is like family to us. To me personally, she's a true friend, confidant and a big sister to our kids. They absolutely adore her. Crystal's family moved here when she was eight. At the time our oldest was one year old and the second had not been born yet. At ten we paid to put Crystal through babysitting school and I don't think anyone ever babysat our kids but her. She's 35 and married a great guy with five kids, she has one. They live just a few blocks away so we still see her all the time. We are so happy for her. Jodi-

Love the horses. I don't know what kind of berries these are, but they're growing out of a huge old tree stump. The birds seem to like them.

lgmz_gaz, I'm glad my monarchs are at your place this year. This is the first year I have a lot of un-nibbled plants--usually I am transferring caterpillars from stripped sticks to foliage elsewhere in the yard. I finally gave up and cut the plants to the ground. ----------------- Funny about the snake sign photos. I just assume rattlesnakes are everywhere, and signs should just let me know where they are not. ;)

PK, not a chance (I wish. I love those). I just created this bed, and incredibly carefully put these narcissus of some sort in that exact spot. They were the first surprise blooms after moving in. You know, how you wait a full year before digging the yard up so you don't destroy what is already there? I was pleasantly surprised. I got here in September 2015, and we've been mowing around them with the intent of moving them to their final home. Only took two years. I couldn't be more sure and really ready to see them truly shine!
