My gardens are a sea of phlox right now -- too much of it, but it's beautiful. Here's a small sample.

alisande.....what varieties of tall phlox do you have?

Jodi....what did you say to the lady on the right....she can't stop laughing long enough to take a picture! Too cute!

Nicole, if you notice, the concrete picnic table behind us is about 6ft long but the bench is only 4ft long (for wheelchair access), causing the gal next to me to hit the ground earlier in the day with a thud when she tried to sit at the right end of the table. She and everyone laughed hysterically about it for quite some time. When the gal on the right went to sit down for the photo, we asked her to sit on the bench, not the ground ... hence ... even more laughter.

Nicole, I have David, Katherine, Bright Eyes, Blue Boy, and Nicky--plus a couple of others I can't remember and lots that have reverted to the "wild" color. I actually transplanted some of the last into my garden many years ago, to continue what a woman began long before I moved h ere.

I think Katherine is pictured in the back of my photo. I thought it was the one in the middle, but I think that one's too light to be Katherine. Blue Boy hasn't done well; I was thinking Blue Paradise might be nice. And maybe some more Nicky, which is such a rich, pleasing color.

alisande......Yours r going back to the "wild" color? Phlox Paniculata(wild one) is what the Eva Cullum AND the Blue Boy look like to me. I can't tell them apart! :0) I looked them up online and they look alike there too! :0) The Star Fire is just a shade darker pink. The white ones, David & Mt. Fuji still look white. :0) I added Pink Flame Dwarf Garden Phlox this year. The morning glories are reseeding themselves in the deck pots....and mutating....see the pale blue one....I didn't plant that.

morning glory correction.....if you pollinate a white one with a dark purple one...you get the weird blue one! :0)
