Hopefully that DH will be off his heavy duty pain meds so I can have some "me" time without worrying about him.

We will probably be celebrating my DGS's birthday this week. He left for France last week on his birthday, so we've delayed the celebration. It will be fun looking at all his pictures!

Also plan to buy a new camera since mine broke a few weeks ago. Really looking forward to that!!!

A fun jazz partyÂon Tuesday. A friend throws this party annually, hiring a great bunch of four musicians. It's never taken place during the week, though. But this year he wanted it to coincide with a relative's visit. So Tuesday night it is.

Getting Anna started with her first day of homeschooling.

DH finding a job and for me returning to work after one day of training last week!
Also some peace and quiet, with DH having his special needs son for 2 weeks and me
having Kaden for 8-10 days!!!!

An old friend from our motorcycling days will be stopping be for a few hours on her way to somewhwre else on Thursday or Friday. I am really looking forward to the visit.

Our county fair starts this week!! Tuesday, enter exhibits. I'm going to put in one of my cross stitch pictures, and a pair of alpaca knit socks. Weds, enter backed goods. I'm going to enter my "dog show cookies" (the ones I one Sweepstakes with last year. Like the Olympians, defending my title!!). Thursday, enter crops and flowers. Since Labor Day is a week early, and we planted late (cold) not much ready in the garden, but I do have sweet peas blooming so will take a jelly jar full of those. The kids have a sunflower contest every year and I'll help the DGS pick out the biggest head and the best stalk. He has 3 entries ready to go this year. Last year he won Judge's choice with his Imaginext. Hope he does as well this year. Lots of good food, the rodeo, tractor show, car show, parade, carnival, pancake breakfast, and the amazing amount of handiwork done in this county.

My sister in law comes on Saturday, to get a gun cabinet my father in law made for Jerry. Since our son in law doesn't hunt, and the other daughters boyfriend neither, we decided to give it to Marjie's boys. Well, they can fight over it. LOL. Both of them hunt.

Marjie is my favorite sister in law. She is the one living in Georgia.

Looking forward to visiting DH in the hospital on Wednesday,and hoping and praying that he continues to improve.
I live almost two hrs drive from the hospital that he's in so unfortunately I only get to see him two or three times a week.
He's still a little too depressed to talk on the phone with me much,but I do call and check on him every day.

Just being off work this week, and being able to do things around the house.

Red Hats tonight. Wednesday is my youngest DGS 1st birthday, but we celebrated yesterday. Mom's turn to have the monthly coffee group, so I'll be helping her with that.

Going to my one-day-a-week job tomorrow. Yeah, you heard right.

I've missed the last three Tuesdays for various reasons..and I REALLY miss the ladies I work with, and having something needed and appreciated to do. Can you say cabin fever?

Hopefully taking a day off on Fri. Also looking forward to the neighborhood barbeque on Sat.

Looking forward to investment group monthly meeting on Wed. evening that I've attended for about seven years ... subscribers to "Canadian MoneySaver" magazine that carries no ads, isn't slick, but is mostly writing ... I consider it CanAda's best personal money management magazine. The writers offer a means of contact at the end of their 2 - 3 page articles, and if one writes them about something worthwhile, they are quite good about answering.

Our group, one of about 40 that meet in various locations in Canada, meets all year round, usually about 20 in winter, but 15 in summer ... saying that money works all of the time.

I was visiting with my niece's family in GA last month, so missed it. Plus the other such group that I attend closes down from May till Sept.

Various of the groups similar to this one run a contest each year - investing a hypothetical $100,000. in 5 investments at the beginning of Jan., to see who has the best result by the end of the year ... our group has not participated (up till now ... but I hope that they will in future).

Canadians: Many libraries carry "Canadian MoneySaver" ... check it out ... perhaps you'd like to attend a group near you, contact information for each group is in each issue. Check their website at www.canadianmoneysaver.ca - they'll send you a sample copy if you ask.

Apart from that ... I need to get busy staking my tomatoes in the garden ... there are a number of fruits that are getting creamy coloured, so they'll be ready soon.

And the setting in place of another ... preferably one that involves helping others in some way, whether in your community or another part of this world, all of which God loves ... pretty well equally, it seems to me.

On the screen at our church, they ask us to pray for two, or usually about three countries each week.
