Will be 27 in October. I was married for 10 years before that. My parents will celebrate 65 years in Sept.

28 years on September 12th :)

45 years next month -- One DS + DIL (married 10 years in December); one DGS, age four.

(I have to tell you, I was a bride at 12. It's not true, but I told you. LOL)

Just celebrated our 56th and now with DH getting new hearing aids, may make it to 57.
No celebration, just ice cream and cake with kids.

39 years, can't believe what I'm typing, 39 years? First and only husband, a good guy.

Wow there are a bunch of long marriages on this board. I love it!

We will be married 25 years next month, known each other 25 years as well. We were married 5 months after we met.

20 years married come Nov 17th, and we lived together 2 years.

We have been together for 20 years total, married for 15 of them. I met him when I was 13. :)

We were married on Valentine's Day 28 1/2 years ago.

We've been married for 23 years, and have been together for 28 years. Our wedding day was the 5th anniversary of when we started "going together."

Our 47th wedding anniversary is coming up in October....we were engaged for a year.....got engaged after knowing each other for 6 months.

Was married 43 years 9 momths before my husband's death in 2007, he was 73. Two children, daughter will be 42 in a few weeks, son was 34 in March. One grandson, born this past March, DIL also has a March birthday as did my husband.

15 years the first time, the second was a keeper and we were together 33 years before he died.

Or, as my DH likes to say, "About a 'hunerd' years." Or, as I like to say, "17 long, hard, years." LOL

Our anniversary was 20 years last October, and I loved him beyond belief, too much according to what happened since then.

Just this past February he was contacted by a woman he dated briefly 32 years ago. For the first week or so, it was fun, he shared everything and we setup his Facebook account together so they could be "Friends" -- hey, I was even briefly her "Friend"! And then he felt stalked by her constant, incessant contact (noticed by many others than me). But somehow it turned to something after that, and he soon succumbed to whatever she had to offer.

She contacted him 2/5, he felt stalked until about 2/14, which I knew since he scheduled a late night IM with her that night. At the time I was down and depressed since I had lost my job and wasn't feeling particularly festive or romantic for Valentine's Day. I kicked him out 2/23. From 2/23 until just recently, I was emotionally histrionic about the implosion of what I thought was a somewhat happy, if complacent marriage. I realize now I am much better off without him and am ready to move on, except for the financial b*llsh*t we have to go through (I am the major breadwinner).

On her side, not that I should care, she is breaking up a 20+ year marriage, with two teenage children and a husband, a high-tech highly employable professional, who has chosen to be out of work for the past 3 years due to his wife's inheritance (not huge, but enough).

Except for my finances, I wish them all the joy they can bring to each other. Perhaps that's great, perhaps it's destructive. So be it.

mtnwoman i'm so sorry for your dh...he'll wake up some day and wonder why the kids arn't there, why his clothes arn't
washed and how in the world he's mananaged, horrors of it all, have to go back to work...

you do have the right to grieve the loss of someone who was part of your life for a very long time...and from a several dear friends, it does adjust.

as for the money, i pray you can find a way to keep what's yours for the children...prehaps a trust?

I've been married 27 years. 24 years to the first husband (and then divorced) and three years to my second husband. I often tell him, you're not my second husband, you're my *last* husband.

You can't live with 'em, you can't live without 'em, and according to news reports, you can't even run over them a couple times with your Mercedes.

Sorry...I didn't mean to hijack with my woeful tale...the time stamp says it all. We never had kids -- he didn't want any and my biological clock never really started ticking.
