Hey everyone ~ I'm a newbie. I enjoyed reading your questions and answers so far; hope you don't mind me just jumping in. I've been a lurker for a while, but I finally took the plunge and subscribed last night. (My coat closet dilemma pushed me over the ledge!;) In answer to the above question: I have a talent; I can sing. I've been compared to Irene Cara, Natalie Imbruglia, Paula Cole and Sara McLaughlin at times. (I've also had times that I would've been an American Idol Reject for sure! lol) Singing is a passion for me for sure; I'm luckly to have an outlet for that passion through church. In one of the "do what you love" type things I've come across they ask "what is the one thing you would do even without compensation?" I'd have to say singing/performing would be my answer. I'd sing for anyone, anywhere just for the sheer pleasure of it. LOL I don't brag as a rule; I feel funny saying "I'm a good singer" right out loud. (But we do have to answer the question right?! LOL) Now my question: What's the hardest thing you've ever accomplished by yourself? p.s. I'd love to hear your "passion" as well! Jenn

I read the original post...I guess I had not replied! Audry, 54 years old mother of 2 adult sons and a very blended family of 6 adult children, 14 grandchildren and soon to be 4 great grandchildren. DH and I recently "separated" after 28, yes 28 years. I think we are going to better friends than spouses! No other persons involved; just my decision! I work in the #1 party rental store in Las Vegas with my little sister vicki_lv_nv. I do mainly corporate accounts. I love my job and "most" of who I work with! My job is FUN but has it's stressful moments. Prior to this; I worked in the medical/health field for 30 years. I am a two time breast cancer survivor; 1999 was the initial diagnosis I had through surgery, chemo and radiation in 1999. 2003, cancer "thought" it would invade my world again...I had surgery and very agressive chemo! I have been the winner so far. I am a Virgo through and through! I enjoy my computer time, reading and spending time with my family. I enjoy Miller Lite and a good time. I enjoy white wine and good company. I am a 70's child, however I like 50 & 60's rock-n-roll, swing, big band and today's country. I am not fond of the "old-50 & 60's country...too many bad memories. My favorite female artist is Celine Dion; favorite male is Rod Stewart. My all time favorite movie is "A Summer Place" with "Dirty Dancing" and "Grease" following close behind. My favorite authors are Sidney Sheldon, Danielle Steele and Nicholas Sparks. Favorite actor; Richard Gere, Mel Gibson, Clint Eastwood and Matthew McConaughey. Favorite actress; Sandra Bullock, Sally Field, Charlize Theron and Reese Witherspoon. Favorite sports to watch; baseball(MLB),football(NFL)and flat track motorcyle racing. IF the tv is on...the Atlanta Braves or Dallas Cowboys games will be on. At night I watch the Biography channel and local news. One thing I regret was not learning to "tat" and crochet when my grandmother wanted to teach me. I cherish the pieces she made through out the years. I was born and raised in South Dakota. 1967 moved to southeast Iowa. In 1978 I ventured west to Nevada. I have lived in Henderson, 13 miles southeast of the famous Las Vegas Strip for 30 years. And YES, I live a life just like all of you...I don't go to the "strip" unless I have company and I DO NOT gamble! My son, PVT Jonathan, 82nd Airborne, stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC is deploying to Iraq mid-Novemeber needless to say I am a very nervous mother. I think that is it! Seems like a chapter for a book. OH, I was first introduced at the KT in 1999.

Wow....what an amazing list of people.... too many of them no longer with us or active here. It is nice to remember some of their names and their struggles that we shared. Thanks for the memories.
