My mom and dad just a couple of years before he died. (They were married 57 years.) Daddy had just had an old army buddy visiting him and they said he stayed and stayed. Right before he left, he made this photo of the two of them. I told my mom that they looked happy. She said, "Happy!? He was leaving! We were DELIROUS!!" LOL Sorry it is so HUGE. It would not let me edit the size.

Thanks Ron,i knew they were some kind of echinopsis,but wasn't sure which.I also have them in yellow and pink.Mine are in bloom during the day,but the blooms don't last much more than 2 days. I got these and other cacti and plants several years ago when the old man across the street died,his daughter told me to go take what ever plants and gardening containers, gardenjunk and anything i wanted out of the yard.Wasn't that nice of her?? Though I have to admit, Michael's collage looks a bit "corporate". :-) You can be the judge on the one I did for DD Amber tomorrow. I wish I had the room to grow sunflowers. Do you ever harvest and roast the seeds? I look forward to Halloween each year when the neighbors all save pumpkin guts for me. I roast them up and eat them for weeks. Oh gosh, now I've got a craving for sunflower and pumpkin seeds... Jodi-
