Jackie, I know you are hurting and yet I want u to stay with us. I wrote this on the menapause site and nobody responded. I think it is better suited here where the women are strong and the men are above average. Now where did I hear that.

I know there are times when we think we may go out of our minds, But we try and we try. Yesterday morning I used up the last of the TP and I had TP in the front of my brain and on my lips until I left the room. I Returned later & said Maggie, why can't you follow yourself out to the closet and fix that situation right away? Well, I simply can't it seems and that's alright. Right? Tell some of your favorite stories about yourself and let us know just how silly you are.

The ad at the right, showing a picture of a toilet paper holder in a bathroom, with only the empty roll showing, says,
"DON'T LET YOUR PROFITS RUN OUT!"!

"CLICK NOW!"!

And here I asm ... wondering which of the silly things that I accused myself of lately ...

... and now can't remember ...

... that I should try to dredge up - to share.

Meant to take my bankbook with me the other day, to withdraw money to pay my rent ...

... forgot.

Same with box that I carry to keep track of stocks, mutual funds, etc.

And a book that's overdue at the (other) library.

I felt halfway over my cold today, when the weather was supposed to be the highest in a while, 42 F, and even kind of sunny. After a few non-postponable family commitments, I put on a scarf, hat, and down coat and headed out at 2 pm to make tracks before the sun went down at four. Dashing back and forth between the garage and the back yard assembling tools and my huge tray of bulbs, I chortled, "It doesnÂt even FEEL cold!" I decided to start with the little bulbs like chionodoxa that needed shallow 3 inch holes, thinking once I got those done I would feel a great sense of accomplishment. Then I started digging my first little hole. I thought, "WhatÂs that yucky white mold under the mulch?" and plunged my trowel in. Or not. (Did I hit a rock? Move trowel over, try againÂ) Nothing happened. The trowel did not go in even an inch. ThatÂs when I realized the funny looking white stuff was not mold, but ICE CRYSTALS. The ground was already frozen! In mid-November! IÂve planted later than this before! How can this be??? I got a pickaxe and managed to plant maybe 50 before the sun was too far down to continue. That is, if you can call it "planting" when you put a chunk of frozen dirt on top of a bulb and canÂt press it down knowing that if you do, you will crush the bulb. 3 inch deep hole, hah. Those chionodoxa are an inch down if anything. 50 down, 650 to goÂ.ItÂs supposed to snow tomorrow.

I have "Crafting ADD". I'm like a bee. I get bored with the current flower & search out something new & different. IF (& only IF) I have a deadline...do I ever really feel motivated to finish anything. If it's a "just because" item with no deadline, I may or may not finish it. If it turns out too hard or time consuming, I may scrap it early on & find an "easier flower". Often times, I have to be in the right mood to work on a project. I just took a self exam on my passions/what motivates me & discovered that if I don't feel confident I can do it well, I probably won't even start it...or I'll drag my feet & go do something else...even something that I hate doing (dishes!). Every excuse in the book... On Friday, I had to pick paint color for the bathroom so my DH could paint. I've known for months that I needed to come up with a color. I love color, but the decision is "monumental" in my brain because you have to either a)live with the color chosen or b)repaint (double work!). BTDT...had to repaint the repainted 2nd bathroom a few months back because of bad color choice. I became paralyzed at the paint color display... Finally made a choice...DH likes it (Maybe because he painted & doesn't want to have to redo???)...I think it's going to have to grow on me...and I STILL have to find matching towels & decor... Groan...

This is fun to read.:) Each time I plant something I say "(name of plant) please come grow in my garden." When I'm planting with my grandkids in the little plots I've made for them at their homes, we say it together and it's a fun little ritual (ages 2 and 3). Also, I express a lot of gratitude, maybe wordlessly, as the garden grows and looks amazing, and produces. I also seem to remember a few cheering sessions, like when something peeks up over the soil, as in "Yay! you look marvelous!" Katie, I remember that study from ages ago. Would be interesting to google if anything has been replicated and researched in a way that would -- no pun intended -- hold water. My mom visited Findhorn in the 80's, so it runs in the family.

As long as you're using a clean implement with the commercial mayonnaise and not introducing a bunch of new bacteria, it's really fine in the fridge for months. They pasteurize the eggs. The sell by dates are the ones they guarantee the product for with the addition of a reasonable amount of time in the pantry for you to open it. That's not for edibility but that they'll guarantee the freshness--it's not rancid, deemulsified, scummy, moldy or otherwise gnarly. If it has been kept clean and cold, and doesn't look, smell or taste funny, it should be fine. The only thing I use sweetened mayonnaise for (I appreciate other people's druthers, just speaking for myself) is broccoli slaw. I like a thick honey poppyseed dressing for that, which has a mayonnaise base. It's not very sweet, but makes a nice counterpoint to the broccoli.

True, but Maggie200 posted the same post to both Jackie1234 and Jackie643. One post fell quickly, but this one didn't. It should have.

It is true this post got off to the wrong start and under the wrong numbers which I thought I saw. My intention was to keep Jackie going with companssion and also humor about ourselves as she does the best she can. If you want this removed I think it should be because the spirit I hoped to bring to it is gone.
