'What To Say When You Talk To Yourself'? - Have You Read It???
Comments (3)Yes, Arum, I read it several years ago... great book... it really gets to the meat of the matter about the internal dialogue we all have with ourselves every day, almost every waking minute when we're not talking with someone else or actively mentally engaged in something else. The simple act of learning to think "I'm a capable person and I can do what I set out to do, etc.," rather than "I'm such a loser and nothing ever goes right for me," and so forth, can have a powerful impact on how successful we are in our daily lives. I probably need to go back and read it again, though, as I've fallen back into some of the old, bad habits. Enjoy the book and try to apply what it says. I highly recommend it. Comments (55)This is such a fun thread! Thanks for everyones' images, both digital and mental. It is a comfort to connect with everyone else. We hopefully place seats and benches in strategic spots to invite ourselves and others to sit and 'soak in' our gardens, and what do you know? There do seem to be springs hidden in the seats every gardeners' pants! My glass of wine gets warm or my coffee, cold, as I jump up for 'just a moment' to attend an errant weed or misplaced stone, to inspect a lovely blossom or worrisome symptom on a favorite plant. An hour later I remember that I was only supposed to be taking in the view: Or, I am forcibly reminded that weeks have gone by without taking time out to sit and smell the roses.... Thanks again to all. Please continue to share photos, too! Sandra Here is a link that might be useful: Roses, Color, and Light...See MoreDo you ever catch yourself in a holding pattern?

Comments (17)Gardenho and Babs I'm getting seeds if I can't find the plants. In the back of my mind I thought I'd get both seeds and plants. I just thought I'd find them this year and then didn't. Cearbhaill glad that online has worked for you. I will definitely make use of your website for checking out online stores. Edenchild I have never traveled out of the country to buy plants. Other things yes but plants no. now there will be a trip in my future I wonder what my sister is doing next February :-). Perhaps going to Seattle? :-) DeannaToby thanks. Yes I am looking for baptisia Australis. It grew beautifully in my previous card in but I had to leave it behind:-(. I will definitely attempt to purchase it as local as possible when I do order plants thanks for the heads up on that! Interesting that you can't find peony itoh mazerolm where you are. Could it be they don't grow well in your zone? Or maybe it's more rare in general. I found a website about the difference between the 3 types of peonies. Now I want all three I do have the herbaceous peony. Now I want a tree peony and Itoh peony too. https://homeguides.sfgate.com/can-peonies-stand-alone-like-bush-68154.html rouge Splendide WHITE looks wonderful. I've never grown meadow rue though so don't know it's needs. Thanks again all....See Morebeesneeds
