Yes, it would be extremely disappointing, for those who weren't invited to stay. But don't you think the ones sent home probably got a day or two in Vegas? I certainly hope they didn't get off the plane, get the bad news and walk right back on the next one. At least, a weekend vacation is a decent consolation prize. With a lot of competitions, you don't even get that.

I was very surprised...and disappointed...that the woman with the cleft lip and the 8-year-old girl who sang were not put through. They were certainly better than some of the crazy acts.

It would be very hard to cut out that many at once. And I agree that it wasn't nice to send them to Vegas and not even give them a chance to perform.

it's what will sell to the general public and frankly i'd hate to see that 8yo under that pressure...let her keep growing up...and you never can tell what a brief view on national tv might bring...

It's just coming on here and I'm really disappointed in the way they handled it. Why the heck send all these people to a hanger and THEN cut them. How cold. All that "You're going to Vegas" hype. I already don't agree with some they cut and some that they left. Well, let's see what happens now. Those young kids sure shouldn't be there. I think my dancing doggy got cut. *sob*

Will somebody explain to me why they're all in Vegas? Now they're picking 40 acts to go to LA. What heartbreak for the ones sent home. The judges make it sound like they're going to reject them and then say yes. Why didn't they just pick 40 acts from the auditions and go right to the finals? This is heart wrenching to watch. This is the first show of this type that I've gotten hooked on. Are AI and DWTS formatted like this?

I thought it was kinda cool that they all got an expense-paid trip to Vegas. I doubt they are complaining about that.

I was so shocked when they cut Kari after all the hope they all gave her during the auditions. What about "the cruise ship won't be able to afford you" and all that bunk? I am sure she is devastated, especially seeing some of the ones they kept! Like the S&M style yodeller. I was so disgusted with some of them hat I turned it off.

I didn't care for the way they did things, and very suprised they didn't let that little girl sing that wanted a house for her family.

I was disappointed in some of them that got kicked off too. I hope that the dancing dog got kept, we will know tonight. I agree that the S&M yodeller should have received the boot.

I was wondering what sense it made to send them to Vegas when it would end up being another audition. There were so many they chose.

Seems strange that they would ship them back without a chance, but I didn't see the show.

Why don't they just take the top 10 acts and make a Vegas show out of all of them. I'd rather that then sit up for 2 hours watching one act.

I wish they would quit that stalling and just tell the person yes or no. Everybody knows that is an act, and not even a very good one.

I also wish they would limit the contestants to age 18 and above. Those youngsters are cute and some very good, but should not be judged/compared to adults, IMO.

While we are on this subject, are you swayed by the "sad stories" some of them tell? I don't think that has any thing to do with their talent.

The ones that got sent home from the hangar didn't get to stay and see LV...they never left the airport. Seems the general concensus is that AGT blew it.
