Do any of you have to deceive your dogs?

Firstly, this is a lighthearted question, so I didn't post on the Pet Forum, lest they scold me for being mentally abusive to our dogs, who don't seem to be too traumatized by our trickery, lol.

We have three dogs with very different personalities. It's difficult getting one to come inside from the backyard when he's called. So we have to ask "Is Daddy home?" which gets him running inside, even though it might be morning and 'Daddy' won't be home from work for hours.

It's difficult getting another to stop barking when she sees an animal on t.v., although she loves meeting 'live' animals and never barks at them. So we have to ask her if she's hungry, which usually distracts her from barking because she thinks she might be getting food.

The third dog is reluctant to go into her crate for the night, although we crate them all as they can't be trusted with the free run of the house while we sleep. So I touch the treat jar and pretend to toss one into her crate, which instantly sends her bolting inside it.

We do feel guilty about resorting to such deception, but these ruses work the best, lol. Do any of you employ similar methods of coercion?
