Turned out that the rumors were flying so badly yesterday, that the shooting at the PX was one of them. Thank God. Because then we would have even talked children being in the way of this maniac. After all was *safe* and no more shooting or other things that could have still happened, my headache was gone. Filled by emptiness. It is taking me 4FR this morning to come up with the right words. HOW do you WRITE down this horror. The Sorrow. All the people directly involved, had to go through and will continue to have to live with when they think back to this day. How it changed their lives :-(( Karyn I believe that his punishment is going to be worse then the immediate death. Having died right there, would have been the easy way out for this man. Or? Hubby works WAY out there on that huge Post...so he finally walked through the door little before 10pm. Tired but safe. If it would not have been for this forum with all of you who care so much, I think I would have not made it passed the shaking and fear that filled my body. You helped me with so much, even though there was no danger to ME OR MY HUBBY...but I always fear for all innocent lives being taken. And that was so close to home :-( Hugs Lucy

I want to join the club also. I cannot wait!! lollol I bought 7 of those feeders that you talked about on another thread, hummersteve. I went to Wally world and bought every last one of them. When I found out the yellow portals attracted wasps and bees I bought what you suggested. I got the 32 oz. size. Now if they would hurry up and come to dinner at my house. LOL I will not be using the feeders with yellow portals this year and I thank you for posting the info, hummersteve. I have 3 out right now and ready to go with more. I keep hearing their little chirps, but I keep thinking it may be another kind of bird.(am I hearing things,now?) I haven't seen any as of yet at my feeders. I planted 3 trumpet vines this year, l yellow and 2 red. Also pink jasmine(not sure if they like that but loved the smell) 8 hibiscus, coral honeysuckle, and 2 veregated wiegela bushes. I am ready. I am a little anxious for them to come, especially since the forrest fire near our house. We are surrounded by national forrest land on three sides and they did a "control burn" but it covered hundreds of acres...I hope it does not run them off. The smell is still in the air and it is still smoldering.:(

We had come really cold nights after they started to pip. We had one morning in March that was 16 degrees. All the fragrants (and a few others) had pips by then. I put them in the garden shed. They still suffered. Lots of stuff came up wrinkled and others had those tell tale dots or burns. Birchwood Parky's Gold was burned pretty significantly, but it didn't show up until about a month later. I remember without having written it down. It was very unusual for us to get that cold at all and unheard of to happen that late. I had lots of damage. bk

Yes...I had been making french fries...and spilled the whole pot of oil on the kitchen floor and it splattered over everything. The bad part was we had company coming right at that time...and we couldn't get it cleaned up...The floor was slick and we couldn't walk. So we had the birthday party with a kitchen floor covered with towels. Or like the night before last I was pouring boiling water off my lasagna noodles. I was standing belly up to the sink and the boiling water poured out over the edge of the sink and burned a large place on my belly. It was covered with blisters but most of them have gone down now. Now it is just hot pink and brown. ouchy. patti
