Chicken is not a favorite of mine; although it used to be. My "mother" cooked it too much growing up and for the last 10 years before we stopped talking; would only eat baked chicken. Parents both came here in the 50's from Hungary; there's one dish she used to cook that I ended up finding a recipe for & making it my own. Chicken Paprikash 2 - 2 1/2 pounds meaty chicken pieces (breast, thighs, drumsticks) 1 tablespoon cooking oil. 1 cup chopped onion 3 -4 teaspoons paprika 3/4 cup chicken broth (think it's 1/2 a can) 1/4 cup dry white wine (I omit this step) 1 8-ounce sour cream (I omit this) 2 tablespoons all purpose flour 2 cups noodles or rice *I go one further and add Hungarian banana peppers - or there is a mix at my food store that has small red/yellow/orange peppers *I also double the sauce - use a full can chicken broth & double the Paprika. I use 2 different brands Paprika Cook chicken in hot oil about 15 minutes or till lightly browned. Sprinkle with salt & pepper. Remove chicken & set aside. Add onion & paprika (peppers if using them) to skillet; cook till onion is tender. Add chicken, turning pieces to coat with paprika mixture. Add broth (& wine). Bring to boiling - I don't really boil, I let mine simmer for a while. Cover, simmer 40 minutes or till chicken is tender & no longer pink. This is where I stop & serve mine, using the pan juices on the noodles or rice Take chicken out of pan. Measure 1 1/2 cups pan juices; adding water if necessary. In a bowl stir together sour cream & flour; gradually stir in juices mixture. Pour into skillet. Cook & stir till thickened & bubbly; cook & stir for 1 minute or more. Spoon sauce over chicken

Something sure sounds back-ass-wards! Here is what transpired with me. I went for my yearly woman check-up with my gynocologist and she wrote the order for me to have a mammo. Her office got the results, (suspicious) and they called me and they told me they had made me an appointment with a surgeon....like within the next few days! The surgeon then attempted to do a breast ultrasound in his office, but was unsuccessful, or maybe it was inconclusive...not sure...I was about crazy over it. He then scheduled again, in just a matter of a couple of days, for me to have a needle biopsy. That, I think, (I've blocked a lot out I think) was done in the hospital. I do remember I blacked out from stress/fear. The biopsy was positive, and my lumpectomy was scheduled again in just a matter of days. Due to the size of the 'lump' I was then scheduled to see the oncologist for chemo...thus my name as my new hair after chemo was nice and curly! Please see the link below. It explains a lot. Because I have been referred to the oncologist. family practice won't do any more. I would call them and ask/suggest that they refer you to a surgeon. Do you have a separate gynecologist? If so, I would suggest calling their office, and explain things, along with your concern, and ask if maybe your next step should be a breast ultrasound with a surgeon. Ask if they could schedule you with a doctor (probably a surgeon) who could do that ASAP! I have density on both sides- very dense. snip I saw the flat plate- it had a large area of dense white The white only showed on one side though...right? It sounds like you might be dealing with some very incompetent folks. You might have to take the initiative to see that you get the care you need now! I wish you well. I, too, am praying that it is contained and totally removed. When my mother had her biopsy done (back in 1965), she understood that she wouldn't know the outcome until she came out of the anesthesia, because the pathologist would do a frozen section and depending on what was found, it would either be over with or she'd undergo a radical mastectomy. She ended up with the radical. Both times that I've had to have lumps removed and biopsied, the pathologist did a frozen section so I knew right away what the results were.

My cancer was thankfully Stage 0, BUT! - it was grade 3 necrosis, the fastest growing type there is, therefore, had I not gotten a mammo that year, by the next year I would have been in huge trouble! chisue said: "Yes, people die of cancers, but people with what histories, and at what ages?" Research the status on very young women (in their 30's OR younger!) who have been diagnosed with breast cancer - AND - have never had breast cancer in their family history! The onset of BC younger than 40 yrs. old is generally not without - a much higher Stage cancer at diagnosis 2. higher rates of the cancer reoccurring I'm not sure why you're attempting to discourage very simple screening for something that hundreds of thousands of women die from each year. The progress of women's health care has come too far for such nonsense. JoAnne - I'm sorry they didn't test you yet but stay strong and know that you're definitely doing the right thing by keeping this in check! Please keep us posted.
