Breast Saga......Update

Hi,went today to breast center not for needle biospy as I was telling you about last month but another round of spot

compression pictures and another ultra sound. The Dr. at

this center was not pleased with the quality of the copies

I brought and wanted their own pictures. So,to make a long

story short. Whatever they were were seeing in the left breast is no longer there according to the mamo pics and ultra sound that were taken today. So I was told to follow

up again in another 6 months with mamo and ultra sound. It

was there last month (my breast dr. saw it) and now its gone this month!! Oh well just wanted to update everyone.

clubm, I agree, it sounds like great news!

However, not to burst your bubble, I have a question....are you taking estrogen of any sort? I know from personal experience....estrogen can affect lumps/bumps greatly.

Again, not to be negative...but I would get a 2nd opinion ASAP!

I had a suspicious lump in 1987...the surgeon I went to said...."oh it is nothing, she is on estrogen!" In 1999 I WAS diagnosed with Breast Cancer and just recently news from the convention in San Antonio...estrogen IS a big culprit in breast cancer!!!

Super great news! I bet you are so relieved. Don't forget that ALL things are possible with the One above. :o)

    That is fantastic news!!!

Great news!!! What a wonderful Christmas gift! A second opinion might be a good idea though. The doc had a hard time seeing anything on my mammogram & ultrasound, but you could feel the lump. She finally ordered a surgical biopsy, which thankfully showed it to be a benign lump.

Thanks everyone for all the well wishes. I must make it clear I'm not out of the woods yet. I forgot to add I also
need to go for a MRI of the breasts. I was told by the breast dr my breast are so dense its like looking for a fish in a glass of milk! So there will be another update to follow. I'll go for the MRI after the holidays.
    Thanks again,Marilyn

    I'm thrilled for you, Marilyn!

Great news for you. I hope everything turns out OK with the MRI. They are probably just being extra cautious. I too had to go back after a mam and then a biopsy because the doc said I had dense breasts.

*I didn't click this thread on right away because I had read it as *Breast Sag*. LOL.
