Just not as frequently and I'm sure she's glad for that. As you can see, she hasn't lost that "do I really have to pose for another picture" look on her face.

And I couldn't resist posting Grant too. I used this picture on his birthday party invite because I think it's so cute and fun.

You're right Steph. Dakota doesn't look like she's missed the camera at all. LOL She may not realize how much the camera loves her. And we do too!

That was a perfect picture for Grant's birthday invite. Who wouldn't want to be included in that party. That serious look gets to me. Makes him look like so grown up.

Just give it time. The fact that your timid girl will come out of hiding to watch the kitten indicates that she is slowly adjusting to her presence. Over the next few weeks (or months), the timid girl will come to realize that the kitten poses no real threat, and they will likely start playing with each other. Just don't try to force any sort of interaction between them. That would be too intimidating for your timid one. Let her make this adjustment in her own way and in her own time. In the meantime, keep doing what you're doing. Give the timid girl lots of extra attention and play time. Make sure she knows that you will protect her from the kitten if the kitten becomes too bothersome. When the kitten starts chasing timid girl, distract the kitten with toys and interactive play. I can't believe no one has mentioned "Doggie"!!He wasn't around long I think Spike banned him over something...I just remember when his wife came in and posted that he had passed away suddenly...He wrote the most incredible poem...I'll share it with ya... "Doctor Time" When we lose a loved one and we're in despair Doctor Time is already there He's treating us all, we're unaware When our loved one is gone and on their way Doctor Time helps us move on day to day He treats the anger, grief and sorrow with a medicine he calls "Tomorrow" As the days, weeks and months go by we just look back and wonder why Such a beautiful person had to die But deep inside we feel okay We have lived to see another day He's calmed the anger, grief and sorrow, we took the medicine he calls "Tomorrow" Doctor Time has one thing to say Time heals all wounds day by day I remember he posted this poem to someone's post who had lost a loved one and he died shortly thereafter...

(((((AmyLou and Candy))))) My heart is breaking for you, as we said Goodbye to our Smudge last spring. The girls at the vet took prints of his feet via the copy machine and I put those in a frame. They also sent us a nice condolence card, as did the people who did the paw print cast, (I like the prints better, as it shows his furry feet) We set up a little memory corner, with his food dish, etc, and his picture.

The reason I mentioned humidity was that many years ago when we were first married we bought a house which was heated with coal and badly regulated. The humidity in the house must have been like the desert. I had horrible sinus infections but my toddler son would get nosebleeds. I was in my early 20's and panicked thinking it could be leukemia. Thankfully after we moved away he never had a nosebleed again and I never had a sinus infection. Re: caring relatives. I had eye surgery on Wed. and texted my son today and asked if he was interested in how it went. My daughter was texting me all day Wed. , but he said he knew he'd hear if there was a problem. Then he asked how it went. So consider yourself lucky to have people who care.

I was wondering about her age too. I see her gray hair. But she is still the cutest dog! I have missed her.

Grant is one handsome boy.I did not say baby because he is not a baby no more[he will always be Steph and Brent baby]but he is growing up.He is so so cute.I love these pics.
Now for Dakota He is one more BIG Dog.
