Hey, we're having salmon, too! We'll probably grill it on a cedar plank (which is soaking, just in case) with butter, lemon, and dill. Yours sounds delicious.

I'll make a mixed greens salad with lots of good stuff thrown in.

I had to be different.....made tilapia, a potato w/the little chicken gravy that was leftover, and creamed corn. That cobbler sounds so good.

I agree with Shirley, that cobbler sounds so good! Patti and Rhizo - the salmon sounds pretty yummy too. Do you buy it fresh or frozen? We are having oven roasted root vegetables and bbq hamburgers, one of our favorite meals. Will probably go over to our local ice cream shop for dessert.

Patti, we will be building the ark if we get any more rain. I get up at 5:00 so most of my stuff is done by early afternoon. I just love to cook & bake so that is not a chore.
Dinner was eggplant parmesan & I had a turkey sandwich easy dinner.

Everyone's dinner sounds so good. I should be ashamed of myself. We're having chicken salad sandwiches. I wanted to make something that would provide dinner tomorrow night for DH because I'm going out with the Birthday group. My friend is turning 75 and for milestone birthdays we go out for dinner instead of lunch.

Stacey, the salmon I got was fresh but I froze it when I got home from the store because I wasn't fixing it right away. Your dinner sure sounds good--love roasted vegetables of any kind.

We stopped by the new Aldi store, our first time. We got one of their big fresh pizzas for dinner to try. I liked the store, they don't have much meat or they didn't today. It was much cheaper. It doesn't take long to get through the store either.

Had a great time, Patti. My golf game was pretty good. Some good holes some not so good but I played my handicap and the second day a little below. As long as I play well enough to enjoy myself, I'm a happy camper. I was in the winning foursome both days so that was a plus (a whole dollar)! LOL

Raven, maybe Aldi's doesn't put much meat on display on Sunday. Just a thought. I wish we had one on this side of town. I see their flyer every week and think I'd save a lot on fresh vegetables and fruit alone.

Hey, we just got home from spending the day with Luckygardnr and her husband. Had a fantastic time. I took my Asian coleslaw and she barbecued pork tenderloin with a Thai peanut sauce. Baked potatoes. Everything was delicious. We loved our day with them.

Too hot to do much cooking, so I used one of those "convenient" products. Chipotle Ranch flavor Suddenly Salad by Betty Crocker. Added some grilled chicken and corn to it and put it on a bed of mixed greens with tomatoes, cucs, and shredded Monterey Jack. Had some baked (not fried) corn chips on the side for crunch.

Enjoyed an Edie's Outshine Strawberry fruit bar for dessert later.

Stacy, we get the salmon at Costo. When I get it home, i divide it into two big pieces and freeze them until we're ready to eat one. Tonight, there was enough for our meal plus plenty to add to a salad tomorrow.

I put chicken, salsa and sour cream in the crockpot. Glendas corn and watermellon. It was easy and yummy.

Maybe it depends where you live but on the West Coast, what Costco labels as "Atlantic salmon" is farmed and not wild. Farmed salmon can be treated with a number of undesirable things, including food coloring and antibiotics, and is generally thought of as being a less healthful product than wild. It's also less tasty.

I'm curious about what awful stuff you learned that Pacific salmon was feeding on. Thanks.

We are in Houghton, Michigan for a couple of days. It was a beautiful day for traveling and the campground is beautiful right on a lake. We have a space right at the waters edge. I took a picture of the sunset last night sitting on the patio just behind our motor home.

Dinner last night was pork chops done on the GF grill, baked potatoes, salad and green beans.

Amy, I like your summer meal. That corn recipe has gone viral on U-Tube and Pinterest. The baked bacon is the same way. I'll never fry bacon again! Do you serve your chicken over rice or ?? Sounds like it would have a great sauce.
