I hope someone has a answer to this because I have the same problem..

I just did a google search for this problem and here was the answer:

I clear the cache and do a restart. This always, and I mean ALWAYS fixes it,

I think it actually IS loading. Try waiting for it to load more before you start playing it. A lot of videos will play faster than they will load, so then they are constantly stopping and waiting for it to load.

With my slow dial up I never even try anymore to watch it.

I just did a restart on the guitar one that is posted here and it worked like a charm...I didn't take time to empty my cache, though....

Sometime you gotta wait for the to fully load before playing.

This all started happening when YouTube added High Definition (HD) to their site. I have both a powerful Mac and PC and both hang up the first couple seconds of a video. My Mac and PC browsers are set to clear cache every time the browser closes so I never have a big cache size but the pause still happens to me. Even with my own video I uploaded to YouTube last week.

i have those same problems all the time! sometimes videos will play, but other times they break up. what is a cache? sorry im somewhat computer literate but not that good? so how would i do that? tia ps i dont go to you tube im talking cbs and stuf like that.

I am having the same problem too. I get audio but the video takes forever to load and doesn't really play at all - stays frozen.

I have a couple of guys on another computer forum working on my problem. I used to be able to watch the game drives at Wildearth.tv but they picture is now frozen for me.

They seem to think it has something to do with my Flash programme. They are taking me through a lot of steps to determine what is wrong with my Flash player. I am headed there right now to see what tests they want me to do next.

Keep in mind with the last couple of weeks the bandwidth available is in high demand. People are logjamming the internet. I've noticed it too. When there's a lull in the action speed picks up.

This of course all presupposes you're running a clean machine and keeping it maintained.

Sheryl, since I'm on dialup, I've learned I just have to delete any emails and such in regard to youtube/and most videos. Anything sent to me using Power Point is easy and quick to view.

Youtube is so slow for me, I feel like I could take a trip around the world and still be waiting. :(

Sometimes it is the speed of your download connection. Your download speed must be faster than the playback to get smooth display. If the playback catches up with the end of the data stream, the video must pause until more content is loaded.

Also, as noted in the above posts, you have to have enough room in the cache to hold the video for smooth operation.
