Petunias and marigolds.

Gerbera daisies and giant zinnias are very colorful and bounce back pretty well if they get too dry. Throw in some rosemary, basil and italian parsley for greenery and they will really be beautiful. Make sure the pots are big enough though.

Zinnia and Angelonia. Carefeee, heat LOVING, sun loving plants that will flower until frost kills them. There are zinnias in all sizes, the little zinnia angustifolia never needs dead heading.

Im back. I wish I had more time to try another store because pickins were slim. I ended up with petunias, zinnias and someothers that said they would take full sun. No basil, rosemary but did get some sweet potato vines. Im off to a meeting so I'll plant tomorrow. Thanks for all your help.

Too late but, geraniums.

I've had good luck with growing Coleus from seeds. Not a flower, but a gorgeous multi-color foliage3 plant that lives in partial shade.

My all time favorite....is a native here so can take real heat....lantana.

Thanks for the suggestions. I love Lantana but I think this spot would be too hot and sunny for it. I also love coleus and in fact have some on my side patio. I actually planted the flowers that I bought yesterday and Im crossing my fingers that they "take".

I have an entire bed of Mexican petunias they are pink, purple and light blue, they are beautiful and thrive here in the Texas heat, they get lots of sun.

I have Lantana in the blazing heat and sun and it's growing like mad.
I have beautiful blue Sweet Dreams Duranta it does well here. Also the purple with pink flowers wandering jew plants do well. I have lots of cannas in various colors.
