Well, Stacy, I'm at least glad that she didn't go straight back to Lee. Maybe it's slowly starting to sink in to her that that is NOT where she needs to be!

How tragic, Stacy. Will you be going to the court, too? I hope that Lee doesn't know where Stacy is. I do imagine that her parental rights will soon be terminated, as well, and I'm so, so sorry for you and the children. But - as you know, Kasey has chosen this lifestyle for herself. I'm not saying she's a bad person. She's made bad decisions and her children have suffered for it. I hope that they're doing as well as can be expected in foster care.

I applaud you for your "tough love" when she didn't come home (to your home) the other night. You stood up against enabling her; good for you.

Thanks guys.....as of now they are not in the process of termanting her rights since she is compling with the system....and esp. since she is going into rehab but weather to follows thru or not is something else....
I forgot to answer someones ? in my last post....Yes the kids are all tribal members so I am not sure how that affects adoption if it comes down to that....I pray it doesn't but God onlyknows what is the best for the babies and he will make it happen...thanks again everyone! stacy

No matter what happens to your daughter, please get yourself to Nar-anon or Al-Anon! Involvement in one of those organizations will help make sense of the madness and help clarify the best path for you!

Staci.(it was me) As I understand it,the laws for U.S. Native American Tribal adoptions are centered around keeping the children with in the tribe; to such an extent that they would not be placed with ANY family not within the tribe. The tribe would have to relinquish their rights as well.
It might would be worth checking with the tribal headquarters and finding out what their rules are. I believe it is the council that would CONSIDER a petition, but it would probably not go anywhere.

I'm glad you at least know where she is. Hope she gets into rehab soon, and stays there.

wow ..tribal laws are pretty strict from what i hear, about releasing kids into anything but tribal care...maybe some deal could be made, that kids are aware of history, ect, and grandparents share somehow? it's getting dd to stay in re-hab once she gets there...and she really wants to have help...

Good for you, Stacy for sticking to your guns. The only possible way for this situation to work is if your daughter is willing to follow your rules.

Uggg I never even thought about the tribal laws yes I understand there wanting that connection....and we will see about all that if the time comes....scary but still I do understand the need for it.....I pray that she will stick to her guns on the rehab...she is the one that told the DHS that she needed at LEAST 6 months or longer taht anything less is a waste of time....please if everyone can pray that tomorrow puts lee behind jail court is at 2 I was not going to go after our falling out but I am thinking that a show of support from me will help...Stacy

Yes, definatly show her support in court. Even though you have your differences...deep down inside, she should know you're there for her.
