Yeah, I've seen the videos...Don posted the address to the "picking" video a while ago - and I'll link it here for those who didn't have the opportunity to see it - Picking 2,407 chillies off a Dorset naga plant A representative from Seaspring Seeds also responded to the Thread :-) - check it out for more details - GardenWeb Thread on the massive Dorset Naga If I did my math correctly, that's actually a 42 Gallon pot. No, I haven't. But seriously, I find it very hard to believe lightning struck the Vatican after the pope resigned. Or, to put it another way, if lightning did strike the Vatican I would have a hard time believing it had anything whatsoever to do with the resignation. I can't imagine the hours it took to perfect that one!

I love how they make biochar, it's an open-pit, burn stuff in there, then STOP the burning process by throwing dirt & water on top. Half-burnt stuff is less alkaline that ashes, which is extremely caustic to plants with pH over 12. I got some ashes from a fireplace, and had to wash my hands immediately, it's caustic to my skin. eHow described it as: " Use a shovel to cover the burning plant material with about 1 inch of soil when you see the smoke is grayish-blue. This layer slows the burning material to smoldering by reducing the oxygen and creates the charcoal. Douse the smoldering fire with water when you see the plant material has turned into charcoal chunks. Completely douse and put out the fire at this point. Allowing the plant material to continue burning will turn it into ash, defeating the purpose of introducing biochar into your soil. Amend your garden soil using the biochar and compost. The combination of biochar and compost will give your plants the most benefit of the compost nutrients quicker. Read more : http://www.ehow.com/how_10061232_make-garden-biochar.html
