I don't know of too many people who would take pictures of an accident they were in. LOL

I remember about 15 years ago, a girl from my workplace got killed turning into a business. A car rear-ended her and her front wheels were turned to the left, to turn into the business. The crash forced her into on-coming traffic and she was killed instantly. Ever since then, I never have my wheels turned, and I see so often where people are turned into the other lane.

That's the kind of excitement I don't like! Glad that you are okay and I hope the van is fixed soon.

I'm concerned about your bump on the head. Please consider going to the doctor about this today. Even if it doesn't hurt much, there could be internal bleeding.

do take care of that bump...years ago when i was hit, it took several hours to feel all the aches and pains...

Oh my, I do hope you are OK! I agree - get the head bump checked out, especially if you get head and neck pain.
Take it easy for a few days, won't you? No hikes up Signal Hill!! The way that some people come roaring down that part of PC Road it's a wonder there haven't been more accidents there.

Glad you are OK! I think you were very smart to take pictures.

We were in a serious accident about 10 years ago and the officer that took pictures of the scene "accidently" (my thoughts) found that the pictures didn't turn out, I don't remember what it was. Those pictures would have made a big difference.

Again, take it easy for a while, and I hope you have no problems from it.

Glad you're okay. Those pictures will be very helpful to your auto insurance company. Main thing is, you weren't hurt.

Glad you were not seriously injuried.

Assert your rights. In many states, you are entitled to alternate transportation until your vehicle is repaired. Check with your insurance agent. They can be very helpful when the other driver is at fault.

Glad it wasn't worse. But do get your bump checked out.

Thank you everyone! My headache went away and I can only feel it when I touch it....no big lump. If the pain comes back I will get it checked out. I spent all afternoon on the phone with the insurance agent and trying to rent a minivan. No vans in the city to be had, but a good friend is loaning us his. He is a god-send. (we need a van because Joe is in a wheelchair, we can use portable ramps for the time being).

I'm glad you are okay but take it easy for the next few days, okay? Impact injuries don't show up immediately.

Taking pictures was a very wise thing to do. Even though you "think" you weren't injured, I'd still have the doctor check that bump. Sure glad it wasn't more serious and glad a friend will lend you a van.

Glad you're feeling okay now--hope that continues, but as others have said, stay on top of your health. DD was rear-ended about 5 years ago. She went to the ER and checked out okay (had X-rays, and everythinhg). But within a couple of weeks, she developed a herniated disk--she'll have pain and medical issues the rest of her life because of it. And it didn't show up right away.

Also--stop fighting with the insurance. You've got way too much on your mind to do that. Call your attorney first thing in the morning and let him handle your negociations. You'll do far better, and have much less stress. Having been through that mess with my DD? I'd say the best thing we did for her was to immediately hand everything over to our lawyer. She got much more than she would have on her own (even after his fees) AND we didn't have to deal with the insurance people/lawyers, etc from the other side. We didn't even open the letters and medical bills we got--just bundled them up and gave them to our lawyer. He was worth and earned every penny he got. I'd HIGHLY recommend you not wait to get in touch with yours. Much easier and cheaper for them to be handling things from the start, than to have to come in halfway through and straighten things out when they get in a tangle.

So glad you are ok. We are all thinking about you.
