Kristen - you contributed for me but I can include some data from previous years: 2006 Zone 7, Phila., PA (in the city but on the border line of Montco) Closest first on map = 4/9/06 My first = 4/29/06 (same as this year) Days diff = 20 -------------------------- 2005 Zone 7, Phila., PA (in the city but on the border line of Montco) Closest first on map = 4/7/05 My first = 6/5/05 Days diff = 59 My very first hummer experience was back in 2004 during fall migration season and I don't have the exact date handy of that (my very first hummer sighting ever), but it was some time in mid-August 2004. The first sighting in the area that year was 4/7/04. In general, the males tend to come earlier and in 2005, I only had a returning female, who showed up on 6/5/05. But once I got my first 2 juvie males of 2005 and they got a taste of my spot, one of them returned the next year on 4/29/06. The mom returned later on 5/10/06. There were 4 juvie males and at least 3 adult females that summer and one of the 2006 juvie males showed up this year on 4/29/07. One of the females appeared on 5/10/07.

It amazes me what people will do to be on television. Joann, do they explain why the participants feel with this odd arrangement? I can see someone who is really so unlucky, many break ups maybe a few divorces, so why not try this? Nothing left to lose. But for the average person, this just seems weird. Years ago there was a show," Who wants to marry a millionaire?" The women didn't get to see the millionaire until he chose his bride. They did get married but of course it went downhill with the bride realizing her mistake. They were divorced as soon as they got back from the honeymoon.

It's crazy but it will be interesting to see if it works. It certainly doesn't seem to be working so well when people are left to making their own choices.

Who knows what is really scripted. I am sure they are led to have specific conversations, but most of their emotions seem genuine. As I have said previously I think Courtney is the most stable and mature of all the contestants. Jason a close second. If anyone can help Jason through his trust issues, it will be Courtney. She does have her hands full with not only that, but also his mom's illness. I don't think that was discussed last night. I loved the gift the he gave her. A lot of thought went into that! Jamie and Doug seem more comfortable with each other each time I see them. I also like the gift he gave her. Not the best comedian in the world, but the thought behind it was great. I hope they stay together. I never really know what to say about Monet and Vaughn. They are stressful to watch and unpredicatable. I thought it was funny that they both bought each other a watch and for opposite reasons. That says alot! I liked that they decided to have a first date. I don't have a good feeling about their future, but I could be all wrong and they are the only ones that stay married lol.
