Back in the 1950's my grandmother made a frozen fruit cocktail salad. I'd like to find the recipe but everything I see calls for cream cheese or minature marshmallows in the mixture - neither of which were in her's. I'm wondering if these recipe ingredients are a regional thing. She lived in San Francisco if that makes a difference. Anyone from the bay area remember this salad as a child of the fifties?

I usually drink my addiction as soon as I get up but this AM I was late and drank it before getting in the car to go to the gym. I... like medium roast purchased a grinder prefer medium ground add a pinch of salt to the batch add sweetener and flavoring to the batch so I don't have to bother with that every morning just add the creamer don't like Fresh Market coffees accidentally bought a pound of decaf and notice the difference but didn't know what the problem was until my batch was used up and I went back to the bag to use the remainder of the pound and saw that it was decaffeinated bought 2 pounds online from CoffeeAM; haven't tried it yet but the company seems to offer many options I am definitely hooked which is scary 'cause what if this was something harmfully addictive?

I am not sure if this is the one, but Terri PacNW posted about this and I have made it countless times and everyone that has tried it (at the KT and IRL) love it!!! I just made a gallon of it for a family get together this past week-end and they all thought it was awesome! I just made a very simple "iced" coffee recipe to go with breakfast this morning...You could certainly pour it over ice in the blender and make a frozen coffee. 8-10 cups of strong fresh brewed coffee 1 can of sweetened condensed milk (low fat, fat free..whatever) Blend, chill..pour over ice...

I'm the only one who drinks frozen coffee also. What I did was made a pot. Then I froze them in a ice try. I use about 3-4 cubes with milk or vanilla ice cream, then blend in blender. I have been looking for recipes but haven't come across a great one yet. My suggestion is to make 1 cup of coffee however you make it add ice cubes, vanilla ice cream and thats it. Here are some recipes I have found: Cappuccino Smoothie Recipe 2 cups brewed double strength coffee 1 pint coffee ice cream 6 cups ice 1 1/2 cups milk whipped cream, if desired cinnamon for garnish Place coffee, ice cream, ice and milk in blender. Mix well until smooth. Top with whipped cream (if desired) and cinnamon. 277 Calories, 36g Carbs, 8.8g Fat, 16.8g Protein =------------------------------------------- STARBUCK'S FROZEN FRAPPUCCINO The Frappuccino is blended with strong coffee, sugar, a dairy base, and ice. Make double-strength coffee by measuring 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per cup (serving) in your coffee maker. The copy will be even more authentic if you use Starbucks beans and grind them yourself just before brewing. Coffee 3/4 cup double-strength coffee, cold 1 cup low-fat milk 3 tablespoons granulated sugar 2 cups ice 1. Make double-strength coffee by brewing with twice the coffee required by your coffee maker. That should be 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per each cup of coffee. Chill before using. 2. Caramel For this, add 3 tablespoons of caramel topping to the original recipe above and prepare as described. Top each glass with whipped cream and drizzle additional caramel over the whipped cream. Mocha For this version, add 3 tablespoons Hershey's chocolate syrup to the original recipe and prepare as described. Top each glass with whipped cream if desired ------------------------------------ FROZEN MOCHA (makes 1 serving; about the amount of 1 coffee cup) Ingredients: -1 cup ice cubes *I use 5 and it works great -1/2 cup vanilla frozen yogurt, or ice cream -1/2 cup milk -1 envelope of any brand hot cocoa mix *I use Nestle -1/2 teaspoon Instant coffee granules *I use General Foods International French Vanilla -Fat Free whipped topping (optional) Directions: Place ice, frozen yogurt(or ice cream), milk, cocoa mix, and coffee granules in blender; cover. Blend until smooth. Top with whipped topping. Serve Immediately.
