Very strange mishmash planting. Where is this? Redwoods are the most impressive plants in my opinion. Nothing is more spectacular than a natural redwood forest with trees towering hundreds of feet above you. But a lone redwood planted by a pond surrounded by palms is just bizarre.

good for you, cookie. I seldom cook something like that just for myself, I am here by myself a lot, but I tend to make things like pancakes, eggs, fried rice, nothing especially good and gooey. Annie

He almost looks unreal! I've never seen one. I googled to see if they are found here in Virginia. I found an instance of one seen in December, 2007, actually about 10 miles from me, which is the second one ever seen. Didn't give the date of the first one. You are so fortunate to have been in the right place at the right time. Let us know if he comes back, and maybe brings his mate. Sue
