well I guess I am not good at explaining things I mean to ask wether sprays made out of sea/fish burn soybean plants.I too denninmi, had rabbits just prune the whole row of soy beans good thing I have some in pots I think they are responsible for the lost af all my sweet potato leaves(last year I planted sweet potatoes on a unfenced bed with no problems this year are fenced and just have stumps I wonder if they will recover, and my beautiful Dahlias well they just have 4 leaves on the very top and lots of buds,thanks for letting me vent.

About a month or so ago, I came home from work to be pounced on my 14-y-o DD (8th grade) who said, "Mom, can we NEVER borrow money to buy a TV or anything?" I'm thinking, WHAT? They'd done an exercise in math class in which this guy goes to buy a big-screen TV for $1,400. The store talks him into buying it on credit, in order to get a $50 discount, and he pays the minimum, nothing more, for 5 years. When he's done, he has paid something like $3,000 for the TV (I don't remember all the numbers, but it was really dramatic). It made a HUGE impact on her; she still brings it up now and then. So we talked a bit about borrowing money, and when to do it, and how to pay it off, etc. *** They also taught them about compounding interest, but I think they used a way-dramatic and unrealistic interest rate (like, 12% or something). But it got her thinking. ***** And when he was about 4, my son told me "When I grow up, I'm afraid I'm going to have to sleep on the street." Again, WHAT?! (how many times don't kids make you say that!) "You told me that you and daddy have to pay money to live in our apartment" (we own our apt, but we'd recently explained maintenance and mortgages to them) "And I don't have any money." So I had to explain a JOB to him. AND I told him that, should he lose his job, or have trouble getting his first job, that he could probably live with me & dad for a little while, and maybe he could stay with another family member, but just for a little while. (trying to strike a balance between making a 4-y-o feel safe, and setting the stage for him to think other people have to take care of him)

Thanks, Chisue! The dear little guy was here yesterday, looking as sweet and beautiful as ever. He'll be two weeks old tomorrow. He nurses well and goes through the usual amount of diapers, but the pediatrics office says he's not gaining enough weight to satisfy them. I hope they don't ask my DIL to give him formula. This is what happened with my first baby, and of course supplementing reduced my milk supply, so the breastfeeding didn't last long after that. Both my daughters were very low on the weight charts, resulting in frequent conflict with the pediatricians. Both girls grew up healthy and small--just like my stepdaughters, whose body types they shared. The weight charts don't seem to allow for much individuality, and when the doctor wrote Failure to Thrive on my healthy, active second daughter's chart, I was seriously angry. My son was high on the weight charts, so I didn't have any more battles with the doctors. Not about that, anyway. LOL

But who really knows, as long as I have the proper care I am good. I am adding my picture of my plants now, along with the pitiful id tag the grower provided. The pink so amazing, does it fade with age? This afternoon I get to play with my new dirt fixins for 5-1-1. I potted up a couple things last night with the new stuff and I am over the moon impressed with this mix. So soft, and the next day after watering, the soil is not soaking wet. I got a bad bag of dirt, but I will save that for a different post. Have a great Sunday all.
