Lots of interesting hotel gardens in Cabo and along the corridor. There is also a good botanic garden specializing in native cactus right in town in San Jose del Cabo. A couple of my favorite gardens are at the Westin and Hacienda del Mar along the corridor. Garden styles range from desert to lush tropical. You might also also consider a guided hike back into the mountains to see waterfalls, or renting a car to do the ciruit up to La Paz, perhaps stopping to visit some of the small villages up in the mountains, and then cross over to Todos Santos, on down to Cabo and up the corridor back to San Jose del Cabo. I usually go to Cabo right after the rainy season, in November/December when the desert is at its lushest and most flowering, (and also most comfortable temperature wise). No shortage of good gardens in San Diego, including Balboa Park, the San Diego Zoo, and Quail Botanic Garden in nearby Encinitas. Also lots of great Protea farms, something you won't see in Orlando...

We had a great time. And no, I didn`t stop at a single nursery on the way home. Jim filled the car up with rocks! Thanks again for having us. See you in the spring. I owe Patty some ginger and Rebecca thalia and purple stem taro. I`ve been planting and repotting all day today. I`ll get pics posted later. Barb brought me "two" giant crinums, I think there are 30++ in those two pots! Tally HO!

I'll be posting more tomorrow. I was half asleep this morning when I started this post and hit Send before I was ready. A first for me. It certainly was different from my cold weather destinations. The color of the water really was gorgeous and we got very, very close to the seal lions. All of the locations shown above were in the same place. Lots of beauty there. Here is another shot of the area as taken from our ship. Unfortunately you can't see it all because of the neighbors. :-) All of the photos above were taken among the rocks at the tip and areas hidden behind the ship.

Hi Stush, I've assumed those brown spots are the same 'rust' that plagues Manolyn and Siam Silver. My Bantel's gets them, and only on the white part of the leaf. I believe it's bacterial or fungal, so I would think our systemic would at least help. I'm going to try and use it regularly and see what happens. One Craigii has 4 leaves, one has 3, another emerging has 2. The latter looks like it's going to be robust, so it'll be interesting to see how many leaves it develops. What would more than 3 leaves indicate to you? I notice that Juan's pic of Craigii in his Trif Book shows plants with a very narrow green edge like mine, those Craigii's pictured at the Kew site had a wider border. Russ
