The KT Power is Real!!

The last time you were with me I had good results so I figured that it would help again. And it did! There is no further spread so even though it's advanced, it's locally advanced. It was such a relief that I hugged my oncologist. The bone and cat scans came back fine, they did not mention the blood tests though.

I am in the chemo chair waiting for them to mix the drugs. Getting anti nausea meds now by drip and 1 capsule. Finally. I decided to go with the trial drugs after reading up about it.

What makes my cancer aggressive is that the type of cells are known as squamous type cells which is rarely found in the breast. Which means more aggressive treatment for a longer period of time.

So thank you again for being for me and special thanks to the person in my first post who mentioned that you were in the doctor's office with me last time, which gave me the idea to ask again.

Yes this is a nightmare of a situation to be in. The waiting and not really knowing what you are facing must be especially difficult. You will be in my thoughts. I hope your test results show promise and that you are able to start a treatment that will bring you success and recovery. Please keep us updated. Thank you for your prayers and please keep them going.When Jim woke up this morning his right leg was really giving him a lot of pain. We were at the hospital and he went in for surgery. It took longer than they said it would so we were getting worried. The doctor finally came out and told us there was a problem. When they went in to fix the blockage,it turned out that the stint that they had put in earlier was was completely blocked and they couldn't get the catheter in, so they put him in ICU and he was put on an ultrasound and a blood thinner and some other meds. to hopefully get the clot cleared. He has some feeling coming back into his right foot and they said that was a good thing. If all goes well during the night they will take him down in the morning and try to finish the surgery. Please keep the prayers going.

Close your eyes and feel us in those chairs beside you. Heather is telling you that that medicine flowing into your vein is not to be feared but to be welcomed. I was with her for her chemo. I'm sure she will be leaving a message here soon. She also had locally advanced inflammatory BC (the most aggressive type) but hey that was 11 years ago! You can do this. You will do this. It too will be past history.

Ask the nurse to bring in more chairs. Your cubicle is becoming standing room only!

I can't tell you how happy I am to hear that there was no spread. Cheering and holding your hand right now. Also offering you some ice cubes or a popsicle to suck to try and prevent mouth sores. Your blood work would have been fine or they would have told you and may not started the chemo if your CBC was off. They also look to see if your calcium is high which could indicate cancer in the bones. You know from the bone scan that you passed this test with flying colors. Chemo is your friend, relax and think of every drip working to destroy those naughty cancer cells.

Yes, as you sit in your chair, be thankful that you have the availability of those drugs. Welcome them into your system.
Don't fight against them. yea!

take those anti nausea pills afterwards when they tell you too. Dont' wait to see how you will feel. Take them! lol

I've been waiting to hear these results of your tests.

don't forget to eat, and DRINK WATER! Eat whatever tastes,or smells good. During my transplant procees, there were 3 days where broccoli and watermelon were my dinners! lol

Wonderful news for sure. Some of us may get thrown out since the room is getting so crowded, but we will come and go so you aren't alone. Prayers continue for you.

This room is getting really crowded but I think I can just squeeze into the corner. You have had such great advice from those who know what they are talking about so I'll just continue thinking positive thoughts and play some calming music. Diane

I'm always dashing on and off here lately due to a busy remodel, but I open your posts immediately when I see them, Zeetera, though I don't always have time to post. I'm soooooo glad to hear your good news and know you will give the chemo all you've got. Stay tough, eat as well as you possibly can and rest as much as you can.
