Penn State authorities removed the statue of Joe Paterno that WAS in front of the football stadium in the early morning today, and taken away.

The greedy, little egotist is a revered saint no more.

Regule is what is also known as white bronze. Not bronze at all but a cheaper and softer zinc alloy. And because it's softer it's more fragile and because it's NOT bronze and is silver in color without the patina, it's not very attractive. It is also softer and more likely to break. It's unusual to see pieces of regule that are NOT broken. Because of these things, it's important that you take care not to remove the patina, and that you treat them gently as they are brittle. Linked below is a short description of what kernel32.dll is, just so you know it's job. Regarding Ccleaner I would run it to remove instantly rather than in 'Analyse' mode. CCleaner has been around a while and is a well respected little gem so you would be at no risk but your peace of mind might be restored. Regarding the slowness perhaps run an online free scan and see what they find. You could use either BitDefender, Symantec, Housecall or any other of your choice. Do not fall for spending money if you use another program that will 'fix' your problems for $$$ Also perhaps go to PC Pitstop and run a tune up test. Click on any red or yellow flags at completion and read the comments. Again do not click where money is asked for. I so agree. It would have been a constant reminder. Here is hoping justice will be served.
I find it very sad that in this day and age, abuse of this magnatude could still happen.

Big news here. I think it's wonderful. He was a phony all his life. He spoke for kids, and in the end he protected a child rapist for decades. Now tomorrow the sanctions will happen, and I predict the program will be shut down for a year. My husband will go into withdrawal since he has listened to every game since he was a freshman at Penn State.

CHi...I believe his name may have to stay on the library, because the family contributed millions to build it, and the "contribution" may have contained a clause about it's naming.

Of course, we all know the source for that contribution probably came from some of the money he took on the side. He couldn't possibly have amassed several millions from his salary.

Paterno was over paid making over a million a year and got speaking fees on the side as well as endorsements from Nike and others. He arranged another whooping package last year just before he was called to testify before the grand jury..All sorts of perks. So he gave millions to the school...He made many many, millions over the years.

Because I do not know the situation there, all I can add is compassion for the students, teachers, and others at Penn State that did nothing but go and try to get an education. I am sure there will a recourse against those who did this and even those athletics who played the best they could.
And just a thought???? What goes on at other colleges we know nothing about.--Just a thought.

There was some woman on the radio (news) today - a spokeswoman for Penn State or something ... not sure who she was but had something to do with Penn State. She was totally against the statue being removed, and kept saying that removing it served no purpose at all - no purpose at all, and did no good.

Bwahhh! Lady - in my book, you're crazy.

PS to have a statue of a human anywhere suggests that this person has demonstrated heroic and honorable behaviors. To keep the statue would offend those he damaged, and offend the spirit of our country that has decided that we must protect our children. He failed.

Sorry to see they must plan to reinstall it somewhere. Why else protect it with mover's batting? Seems to me they could have left the football players that were on the wall behind The Big P.

Removing the statue was highly appropriate.

Let's hope that they only wrapped it up to discourage the paparazzi, and that they plan to destroy it privately.

I believe that will be a controversial decision. 60 m would go far if given to the families with no expectation of relieving their grief but becomes a small amount when it goes to research and education run by the government.
I don't have a clear thought on that. Sexual abuse has no cure at all other than to lock them up. The perps will tell you they will do it again and again.

I would like to see where the money goes. It should make sense and that doesn't. Perhaps it should go toward academic scholarships.

I expect there will be lawsuits by the families and against Penn State.
