Oh, I'm jealous! I have a new lens that's perfect for dragonflies, but I don't think mine ever land! What lens did you use, Karen? That's the closest, clearest shot I've seen in a long time.

While I'm at it, I'm jealous of the hummingbird, butterflies, and old mill, too. :-)

Thanks guys.....just a 100mm macro lens (link below) with no extension tubes or tripod. I think it was manual focus but I'm not sure. I went to the pond looking for dragonflies. They were flying all over the place but only 2 landed so I was quick to get them while they stayed still.

Thanks! I was thrilled to receive it! My neice lives in South Africa in the wine region, I haven't seen the babies in person - yet, I hope to get over there before the year is out. My neice met this great guy while travelling, fell in love and married him. I was fortunate to attend their wedding in South Africa. They moved back here when my neice was pregnant with their eldest who reminds me so very much of her mother at that age. They moved back 2 years ago and I miss them so much.

I was told he is in his second summer. When we hear the birds fussing outside we know the hawk is there. It wasn't so neat when he tried to fly through my screened in deck. As they say duck tape fixes everything and he wasn't on the ground so I know he survived.
