I think people are trying to analyze it too much. I'm sure Nicole and Keith have a perfectly good reason why they chose that name, whether it has significant meaning of some sort or if they just liked it. Either way, it's really nobodys business but their own (and I am not saying that to you Lindsey, but rather the "sources" that think they know why they picked it). Really...who cares why they picked it?

I'm sure Nicole has her feelings on Scientology but she really does seem way too classy to be taking stabs at it by rebelling and naming her child "Sunday" which has such significant meaning to her religion not Scientology. She just doesn't seem that petty to me. Sure maybe it's all coincidental but that's probably about all it is.

It's not my favorite name but I've definitely heard worse for sure!!! :-)

It wouldn't be the first time a celebrity named their baby something "distinctive". I think I prefer Sunday over Apple, which is Gwynth's Paltrow's daughter's name I think. :-) Who really cares. It's their choice & their child who has to live with the name forever.

There's an old poem about children born on each day of the week, and it says, "the child who is born on the sabbath day is bonny and bright and good and gay (happy)." They thought she would be born on Sunday, but she came a bit late. It's okay, "Monday's child is fair of face."

I agree with Steph....it makes me nuts the way they pick it all apart like this. Whatever the reason is, just IS. Who should care really?

Has anyone heard what Matthew McConaughey's baby boy's name is? He was born the same day as Sunday Urban. None of the tabloids seem to know the baby's name yet.

People are named after months of the year - April, May, June. Why not days of the week?
People are named Christian and Jesus, why is Sunday any different. Maybe they are just the first and will start a trend.

I posted that link in the wee hours of the morning. I had just finished reading stuff here at the Table, and then checked msnbc.com, as I always do right before I get ready for bed. I had just read a couple of threads at the KT about little Miss Urban's name, so when I saw this article I came back to the table long enough to just post the link.

I personally love the name Rose -- it appears often in my family tree. The first time I read that this baby's first name is Sunday, I didn't think that it was a bad or odd name for a child - I simply wondered why they might have chosen that particular name.

I wasn't trying to analyze anything -- I was simply trying to give folks another perspective.

lindsey, please don't think my comment in particular was meant for you. It wasn't AT ALL. I dont think anyone elses was either. I think they are all referring to the media. They go crazy with this kind of thing and it's ridiculous.
