Would appreciate some prayers please

We are still in NM.We were going home today but didn't make it because we needed to get the oil changed in the truck before we leave.DD ahd DGS have been here also from OK.She has not felt well the last couple of days.Yesterday she said it felt like she had a worm crawling in her ear and like bugs crawling in her scalp.Then her eye started twitching and she felt dizzy and almost passed out on the way from the zoo.Today she woke up fighting a migraine(she has them often)and took her meds for that but they didn't seem to help much,just made her sleep.Her blood pressure was also a little high but she has been out of her meds for that for 2 days.They had planned to go home before she needed them again.Just happened DS had some of the same that she is taking so she took one of them and it was going down.Then this afternoon her vision started getting blurry in one eye,something that has never happened before with a migraine so she was getting concerned.Anyway,DDIL took her to the ER.She just called and said they are doing a CT scan,blood work and a spinal tap.She has herniated discs in her neck and has always had back problems.She has had scoliosis since she was a little kid.She is having laser surgery on her neck in September.So please pray for her that they will not find anything seriously wrong and will relieve whatever is causing this.I know she is not having much fun right now! Thanks everyone.

DD just got home from the ER.Everything checked out OK.Nothing wrong with her head,but she does have a UTI that she never suspected.The rest was likely caused by the migraine and elevated BP.Guess we will all go home Friday morning.

I'm so sorry to hear this, Karen. It's quite understandable that you'd be feeling a lot of strain and anxiety with all this going on. I'm glad the doctor had the foresight to do that MRI, and not just discount the pain as being a pinched nerve. In a time where sometimes our healthcare feels impersonal, it's good to see they CAUGHT it so they can fix it. Obviously, if you need to vent/expel some of that anxiety, vent away! Oh, Heather, I'm so sorry to hear of this. I thought those balls were stronger than that. After all he has gone through already, this is not good news. I hope it's just infamation that can be controlled until it goes away completly. I will keep you both in my thougts. sooey

thsnk goodness you had family to take her to "right" er...nothing worse being away and sick...hope you have agood drive home..please post again about her sept surgery...

just an fyi? my mom had dropped her meds in the sink, and lost some...went to a local pharmacy and they called hers and replaced the 3-4 pills she'd lost...if your dd uses a biggie (like wal mart, walgreens) they might do the same...

Glad you took her to ER. Even though she has some medical problems, and on meds you never know when a person's system will change and those meds stop working. And there are so many new meds avaiable, some with less side effects.
When you get home, please have her completly checked out and see if a change in meds would help.
They did for me.

Glad everything checked out okay. I agree with Marie. She should see her own physician when she gets home. Just to be on the safe side and to have everything put in her records.
