He's a total blowhard and talks out his a**. Everyone goes along with him. I called him n it and he went off like a maniac. It would have been frightening if he wasn't so stupidly ridiculous. Later he tried to take control again by engaging me in conversation. I agreed to be civil but told him I never wished to have conversations with him, Then he tried to make me out to be the bad manipulative one. He makes everyone else very uncomfortable but they won't stand up to him for some reason. He's been demoted from mere acquaintance to "out of my life" whether he likes it or not.I was proud of myself for not taking the bait. Because I refused to play I was being "condescending" LOL

Pilgrim at Tinker Creek, by Annie Dillard, took away my fear of insects and changed the way I think about them. This was significant, since I had moved from the city to the country and was surrounded by the tiny critters.

Probably not since the '70's when I did a program for children in Houston about farm animals.

My husband, Jody...met him when I was 12, but also a few years later, there was James...the first guy who really made my knees weak. I married Jody and he married someone else and a few years later, was killed in a car wreck. I always visit his grave when I go through my home town.

Probably The Continnum Concept, which is about raising babies in arms. You never put them down...held constantly and always with you. That is how I raised my daughter, according to that book, and I think that is why we have a very close bond today...so in that way, it changed my life, and hers.

I have a very, very old cast iron koi (carp)with an Oriental man sitting on his back. The man is holding a book, and he lifts off and the fish is hollow. I came home one day and it was gone, and I thought someone had stolen it. I found it a few weeks later...my husband had moved it somewhere else.

To tell you the truth...I wouldn't as much as walk across the street to see anyone. That's 'cause I am getting old and nothing like that interests me any more.
