Method brand cleaner - WOW!

I was in the grocery store and I met a woman in the cleaning product aisle who raved about Method brand cleaners. It's non-toxic stuff. I bought the tub and tile version and I just tried it on my soap scum/hard water stains and it was amazing! I've always used scrubbing bubbles but this worked even better.

I'm going to go back and see what else they have. It wasn't too pricey either - a bit over $4 in my local grocery store.

Has anyone else tried any of their products?

And - I have no affiliation with this brand. I never heard of it before tonight.

Just for curiosity I googled this product and here are some of the results!
I think I will have to check this out! I also use Scrubbing Bubbles products
but if I can find this I am going to try out.

I recently purchased a teflon sheet that covers the bottom rack of the oven and keeps spills off the bottom of the oven. It does a great job - burned on spills wipe right off. You might consider one of these after you get everything clean just to keep it that way. I think it cost about $20

I have used a shark mop in an older apartment with not so nice hardwood floors. I also tend to add a capful of pinesol into the shark cleaner. The floor weren't disastrous, but I wouldn't call them great shape either. Additionally I have used various products that most people would be shocked. And I have used a large amount of water on them. When things were starting to look dull I would use a quick shine on them. Despite the fact that I was doing it "all wrong" my landlord was always happy with the way my floors looked. All this being said, I also have 5 cats and I would rather have to redo my floors more often if the trade off is knowing I have a clean floor. (I am getting ready to redo the floors on a house that I am buying) and will at the very least use a steam mop on my floors then too. DISCLAIMER: just because I said this is the way I do it does not mean it won't have an effect. Let me add that I cleaned my brothers house with a steam mop as well that he had redone with no I'll effects.

The laundry detergent is not single serve nor is the soap refills I'm talking about. I'd wonder about the comparison of bar soap with their wrappers to a refill pouch. The reality is most people are too lazy to recycle. Method's point in what I quoted is that the pouch has lower environmental impact and I have to agree with them on it. Less fuel to transport, less space taken up in a landfill even figuring the percentage that could be recycled on a PET bottle. I do have a concern about 11 billion packets a year from Heinz alone. I'm guessing that's worldwide. But the pragmatic part of me asks are we being penny wise and pound foolish being concerned about ketchup packets when nearly twice that many disposable diapers are put in the landfills each year in the US alone? 1 ketchup packet or 2 diapers... I think I'll take the ketchup packs thank you! It's like the ones who criticize me (and others) for having a non-HE washer, but I do fewer loads to start with than my critics. I also wash my vehicles in the rain and snow where they use hoses and car washes. I don't water my lawn or flower garden. I take quick showers instead of 100 gallon whirlpool baths and I don't have or use a swimming pool or hot tub and the list goes on. Gotta put some priorities in place sometime. Not to say the packet isn't a concern and sometimes you tackle small problems first if they're easy. But we've really missed the boat ecologically on some other things. Another peeve of mine: The war on water. Why is water always the villain while pop, "sport drinks", 5 hr. Energy, and for that matter coffee cups and soft drink cups get by? Again, if you look at what's the healthier one, seems we should be endorsing water over sugar laden drinks and the HFCS folks can relax since water doesn't have it in there (yet). Again, I question priorities. I also wonder why people have to have so much stench in things. Why do laundry detergents have to smell to start with, requiring 30 different SKUs of one brand for different stench. Why not have dye/stench free and sell the stench and dye separately so you can add your own? And you can have all kinds of different stench to choose from. So much simpler, less hassles and lower costs. But that's three things the buying public don't want apparently. And they're too lazy to mix the two together. Chlorinated Detergents are not so great for rubber dishwasher seals, admittingly. However.. they are not horrific. They we're used for decades in automatic dishwashers without problems, and I'd equally say that most machines made within the last 10 years are designed to handle corrosive, high PH detergent formulations. I have however noticed that there is a significant problem with GE & Hotpoint made machines though, concerning the Main Wash Dishwasher Detergent Cup leaking or allowing water to spray in, before the main wash cycle. Because of this, most if not all of the detergent is wasted, long before the actual wash cycle.. causing spotting & lackluster performance. I correlate this problem with the the fact that most detergents are now made with Higher PH's due to lack of cleaning agents, and substitutes for Chlorine, which may be too much for the very poorly designed rubber seal seated around the interior of the cup. Despite this... GE's engineers say it's not a concern, and they believe dishes will come out "adequately clean" for consumers.

I have seen it but never tried it kinda thought it might be like the other *I know good for the enviroment* but don't clean worth a darn stuff...well I am going to try it because I love my scrubbing bubbles......Stacy

I use dish soap for the tub and I dry the tile/insert every time I get out of the shower. I never have to use any other cleaner except vinegar around the faucets. I let it set for 5 or 10 minutes and scrub it with an old battery tooth brush. I also use dish soap in the stool a couple of times a week and once every 3 or 4 months I use toilet bowl cleaner. I swore when I moved into this new home I would find ways to clean without harsh chemicals. I did this because of my allergy to cleaner chemicals.

I bought the stainless steel and wood cleaners made by Method, I was pleased with both. I use the stainless steel cleaner on my kitchen sink. Really cleansd and has a fresh smell.

I've seen mixed reviews of Method. Most who have good luck with it really seem to like it. America's Test Kitchen (on PBS) likes the Go Naked dish soap and thought it was a little better than others they tested. Haven't tried any of the Method products yet. Have a good stock of cleaners and most of what I use I really like anyway so I'm not in too much of a hurry to change. But I've been watching for a deal on something I need to see what I think.

I just read the link, and it says that the scent of the toilet-bowl cleaner is eucalyptus.
This seems to be the latest scent. Just a Drop a bathroom deodorizer that I absolutely love, is blue, and is eucalyptus scented.
For those who get migraines from the smell of eucalyptus (there are a couple of women here), Just a Drop, now comes in other scents.

I use the granite and stainless steel cleaner and they are both good. The dish detergent is also great.

I really did not care for the Method dishwasher soap. It seemed to leave the dishes with streaks, especially the plastic things. I do have the almond floor oil, the liquid hand soap, and fabric sheets. I guess they are okay, not fond of the laundry detergent either.

I like their products. I use both the grapefruit and the lavender general cleaning solutions.

I like Method liquid hand soap and have used it for a while. It wasn't advertised back then as "green". To tell you the truth I bought it because I like the shape of the bottle and the grapefruit fragrance. I used to get it at Target--never saw it anywhere else until lately.

I have tried several of the Method products and so far, I really love them all. I have been using their foaming hand soap for quite some time and wouldn't think of using anything else. Target sells the big refill bags for the foaming hand soap, so you're helping the environment by not buying a new container every time you run out of soap. I also love their 3X concentrated laundry detergent. I'm always amazed how great a job the small cap of detergent goes. My clothes are always so clean and smell so great. I also love the spray all purpose cleaner in the lavendar scent. I have always bought Method at Target but now my supermarket is carrying some of the items. Also, if any of you have a Big Lots near you, you may want to keep an eye out for some of the Method products, as they do have it from time to time. When I find it at Big Lots, I really stock up, as the pricing is great!!!

I bought the leather wipes today so will let you know....I got mine at Lowes they have a huge line of their products....Stacy
