Reminds me of the spent flowers on a pregnant onion. Could it be that?

This is the seed cluster that appears at the end of a tall stalk of grass. When you're not looking through a macro lens it appears stiff and brush-like--like a back scrubber, Jasdip. :-)

I'm not sure I described it all that well, so perhaps when the lawn dries off I'll go out and see if I can photograph one from a normal distance.

I went to the spot where I found this, but didn't see it or any others. My guess is they've changed form since my picture was taken.

I love that pregnant onion! I have never heard of it. I would like to have one.

I guess that a pregnant onion gets bumpier on one side?

Actually, I have no idea, but I sure like this game though...I used to play them in my kids Highlights for Children Magazine and Games Magazines...so, keep 'em coming, alisande!
