Well, small world, my daughter Jennifer had this Collin. She goes by Jennifer or Jen. Sorry, but I don't have a digital camera. I had glue gun problems and it is not quite done. Glue sticks I have used for the past year are just a tad too big, so I stopped at Michaels and bought another brand and hope this kind will work. The glue stick was squirting out of the rear of the gun and so hard to push through with the trigger. Badly sized glue sticks.

If you are breastfeeding, you will not need anything special for diaper disposal as a breastfed baby's diapers do not smell. DD uses a garbage can. I suggest that you will need a crib and a chest of drawers. A changing table is not a necessity. I used a water proof pad I would put under the baby on his bed to do a diaper change, and DD is doing the same, only she is using a disposable water proof pad for less laundry. She buys them at the drug store. It is easy to manage without the changing table. I suggest that you get lots of blankets, sheets, water proof mattress pads and newborn to 3 months onesies with feet and gowns so that you will not have to do laundry too often. You will be doing laundry enough! If you live where winters are cold, buy 6 or so baby undershirts. I like bumpers in a crib too. I like that large sponge pillow to lay the baby on for baths. They cost just a few dollars. Helps you manage their slippery bodies as you learn to bathe them. I do like those baby towels with the triangle of terrycloth at one corner to pull over their heads so you can wrap them warmly after their baths. Get some baby shampoo too and a mild bath soap. I like to make baby washcloths for baths from a little square of cotton flannel. If you have a friend or relative who sews, or you do yourself, ask for a few of them. Also buy a dozen cloth diapers to use as burp cloths. You will go through these quickly. Target sells printed cloth diapers that are cute in packages of all pinks or all blues. You could also ask your crafty friends to crochet or sew some edges on them. Get some Original Desetin for any bad diaper rashes that may develop. You want to get on a rash right away if it develops. You could also have another type of diaper rash cream to use if the rash is milder. Have some kind of wipes to take with you in your diaper bag as well as at home. Keep a receiving blanket in your diaper bag to use under the baby if you have to change him or her in a public place. Of course you want a nice stroller and a car seat. If you will be traveling, Graco's Snap and Go is great--it's a stroller and a car seat all in one. If you will breastfeed, an electric pump would be great. I never had one, but a friend gave DD hers, and it does a great job of offering the mother options. We love the Bumbo seat, which you can use with supervision once the baby can hold up its head well. DGS loves his. DD also valued her Bjorn baby carrier and would even use it around the house if she had lots to do and the baby was fussing for attention. Also great for getting around the big city with a new baby. Hope this helps. Warmest congratulations.

Yo Ken, if your still around your up on this one. Far as Composites go I am with the Larry/whoever We are for the most part. Composites are really no longer using recycled material because there is just not enough of it so most of the raw stuff is virgin,the energy used to make composite is an enviro no no, when its time to remove the project composite is not real big on bio degrade its tricky to burn shreading it would be silly. Bottom line composites are not so enviro freindly. Info like that might suggest its not all that good to clean it either, with anything. I dont agree>> composites will out last Ipe, left to go silver/gray Ipe is as close to no maintance as a person can get. With the softer composites like Choice/MoistureShield even trex= tjunk I have found a coat or two of TWP 116 seals up the decking,locks in the color and keeps mold,mildew,stains from causing major problems. Of course not needing to do this is the reason the Wallet goes for composite in the first place. I can't fault Kate or Jon for seizing an opportunity to make a better life for themselves and their children. I can't believe they just "decided" to have 6 babies at one time, and become a Reality Show! That surely was not in their plans. So it happened. Good for them. Who prospered the most...the Gosselins, the companies who supplied the freebies, or TLC? I've watched the show from the beginning. Reading all the comments in these threads about them and the show, I sometimes think we weren't all watching the same show! No doubt Kate was bossy, and Jon was very easy to boss. I think the children were extremely well behaved. Okay, Mady had her melt-downs. Didn't we all have a child, or maybe more than one, who had similar melt-downs from time to time? I don't recall Kate screaming at them. Discipline calls for a strong firm voice. She is a planner, and planned a lot of activities for holidays, etc. Did she have help? No doubt. Who and where were all the nannies I've heard about? I remember one or two young girls helping out. When the babies were infants she mentioned how many loads of wash was done every day, and there was a friend who came and folded them. Would any of us refuse that? Yes, their lives got out of hand. I fault Jon for choosing to find consolation elsewhere. I guess he had his midlife crisis 3 years too late. Kate allowed herself to be overcome with her own importance so far as "working." I do wonder if they ever sat down with all the children and explained what was going on? If that happened, it hasn't been mentioned that I know of. So many people think the children will be scarred for life now. If we asked for a show of hands, I wonder how many right here at the KT have had similar backgrounds and have grown into fine, self respecting adults? I thought the last episode was confusing, time-wise. So much about the Crooked Houses. Those houses were done before that. When the Bikers came, the houses were already there and finished. So now the show is taking a break. So can we all. I've just been thinking about some of these things, and how conclusions and opinions are jumped to without having all the truth to be known. Sue
