Does your DH do the cooking? You lucky girl! Or do you go out to eat all the time? We have a pile of Tried & True recipes at our fingertips, and they aren't that hard. Check the link below. Some are step by step too.

If you ever need a hand or want to know something please feel free to ask any of us. I would love to come to your beautiful kitchen and show you what I can cook/bake.

Jodi, I often see (and know) people who spend a lot of money to renovate their kitchen and don't know how to cook. They buy deli foods all the time.

I asked the girl across the hall for some flour shortly when I moved in (I couldn't find my cache and had the urge for roast beef). She doesn't have any because she microwaves everything, so you're not alone!

I'd love to come and cook with you in your kitchen! :)

Hey, anyone and everyone is welcome to come over and cook for me. :-)

My problem is that I don't enjoy cooking and find it tedious to spend hours preparing a meal that is eaten in 20 minutes followed by another hour of cleanup and putting dishes away the next day. My least favorite chore is emptying the dishwasher because I'm short.

While hubby does spend more time in the kitchen than I do (and he has always done all the grocery shopping), it's still really not cooking per say. It's frying an egg, fixing a salad or heating up something in the microwave. Because of our schedules (my long hours of work, his long hours on the tennis courts...sigh), we seldom see each other before 9pm on weeknights. The kids are both grown and on their own so it's just the two of us. I did manage to grow two healthy kids using my meager cooking skills, so all is not a total loss. :-)

I think my biggest problem is that I have no desire to cook. I don't get all excited by the recipe sharing posts (in fact have never opened one) and spend so many hours either at the office or out hiking that fixing and eating a big meal just takes away too much time from my day.

And ... to make matters worse, when we remodeled our kitchen three years ago (after being married 35 years), DH suggested we toss basically all of our dishes, cutlery, mixing bowls, etc. This meant we had to start all over just like newlyweds. Now who am I to argue with all new stuff but of course when we do want to make something in the kitchen we always find something else we forgot to replace.

So, to wrap this discussion up, I can post a sign up sheet for anyone who would like to come to my house and cook. LOL

LOL ... the post that refuses to die. :-) When I took my glue on nails off after about seven years. My nails were so messed up I thought they would never look normal. Really, really wish I had taken photos though because the difference after using the Nail Magic Botanical Nail Strengthener with Horsetail, is amazing. The trick to getting your nails back in shape ... at least my approach is ... when I wash my hair I really use my nails to shampoo. As soon as I get out of the shower I clean under my nails real good with one side of a pair of tweezers because they are always nearby. No matter how short your nails are, this visually makes them look longer. After they dry, I apply a thin coat of Nail Magic Botanical Nail Strengthener with Horsetail and let it dry, followed by one more thin coat. The most important thing at this point is to coat the nail, the tip and under the tip no matter how short your nails are. This keeps the nail from getting ragged and snagging stuff. As soon as that happens, I start peeling my nails and everything is lost. I clean my nails the same way every morning and by day three, they already look longer. I add another thin coat of polish every 3-4 days concentrating on the tips each time. Hope this helps someone. Jodi-

I put a spoonful of the stpp in a small glass of cool water...it disolved instantly. No clumping or hard rock like lumps. It even looks different from the last few batches from Dafna. Very very fine grains and lighter..not as heavy. Theres no doubt now in my mind the stuff I got from Dafna wasn't what it was supposed to be. I'm considering emailing Dafna and requesting my money back from the 40 pounds that are worthless to me. Otherwise I'm going to leave some unkind yet honest reviews. I will also notify Amazon about this who should take seriously a vendor of theirs selling products that we have no idea what it is...chemicals no less.

Just imagine, Joann, Patti, Ruthie, LuckyGardner, Paula PA, me, Sue and many others-----sooo many bakers and cooks in one weekend!!!

We could spoil you and your handsome hubby! LOLOL

(But you have to borrow a dog.....I love dogs) :)

I've never enjoyed cooking, but I do like the eating part. Most of my recipes are simple, either from TV or books like "Five Ingredient Cookbook", etc. I once made an entire Cajun meal from scratch from a recipe by Paul Prudhomme. So many steps! The endless chopping, dicing, stirring, etc really tired me out. I served the meal to DH. He liked it but then it was over. I spent about 6 hours for a meal that was history in 20 minutes. then again, I would love stainless steel appliances! But it wouldn't tempt me to do scratch cooking. Not when my grocery is overflowing with Lean Cuisine, stouffers, and other frozen dinners. I use my microwave for most "cooking" . And I do admit to eating a lot of fast food. Just had to weigh in.

You'll HAVE to be part of the KT Gathering, because you're providing the 4-legged hugs and kisses! I'm sure there would be enough food to feed ya!

So Jodi, since you have the beautiful stainless steel appliances, what are they like to clean? I've heard horror stories and then others where they aren't bad at all.

Speaking of stainless and I've had it. I predict it will soon follow avocada green and harvest gold to the appliance graveyard. I have all white appliances now. I had white before stainless and went back to it after. To me it's timeless and nothing dates your kitchen more than outdated appliance colors. JMO of course.

Hey, stainless steel appliances are a breeze to keep clean if you don't cook. LOL

Seriously though, we do make a mess in the kitchen when we do attempt making something and the SS appliances get their fair share of splashes and paw prints (from human animals since we don't have pets). They are a cinch to keep clean though. A quick wipe to get the larger bits off and then a light swipe with a microfiber cloth with WD-40 sprayed on it. Everything sparkles and looks brand new once that's done.

Just a note, I love pets and all are welcome to bring theirs but we don't currently have any due to my long hours at work followed by my frequent local and world travels. Just not fair to bring a pet into that situation.
