When you have a great great day and it ends with a smile and good thoughts!

That's exactly what my day was today.

Quality time with GS!

And his mother, my former DIL, called me after I dropped him off, to tell me what a great day he had.

How good is that!

So glad you had such a good day. I like hearing happy news. Lucky you to have your GS so close you get to spend time with him and I bet he can hardly wait to go on that cruise. Nice of your former DIL to give you a call and tell you what a great day he had. That was so thoughtful of her. Sometime just a little act of kindness can mean so much to the recipient and the person doing it has no idea just how meaningful it is!

Here's an update. I put out the pre-m benefin (??) near the end of March. I also used Lesco fertilizer with demension about a week ago. I sprayed Image to kill the scragly perennial rye but it looks better than ever. It is so good that the bermuda is having a hard time comming back. I can see some bermuda in it but it has a long long way to go. In years past the bermuda would be well established by now with just a few areas that get some shade waiting to fill in. My question is should I reapply the Image or be a little more patient. I've hit the yard hard with Pre-M and it's already had Image sprayed one time (3-6-07). Why isn't the rye dying? The Image bottle cautions use during bermuda green up. I guess it's wanting to green up but the rye won't give up. I am really bummed out. I will never overseed with rye again. Tim

I still have a couple hundred of my own....but the thoughts did cross my mind that I had three days off this week, the large trailer was dug out of the snow bank on Friday and it's only an eleven hour drive, one way.... So you can see that it doesn't take too much to drive me crazy. ;-) Lloyd

I learned Vietnamese in the US, and I've never been to VietNam (I want to go there some day). My Vietnamese is very rusty, but if I understood correctly, please send the file to me (click on my username link and send an email). I don't get many chances to practice Vietnamese, so if the other GW members will forgive us, I'd like to have some conversations in your language. I haven't used Vietnamese regularly for many years and when I did, I spoke mot chut bac, mot chut nam, va mot chut sai (a little north, a little south, and a little wrong). Since your English is so good, maybe we can converse in Vietnamese with English translations. If I'm not mistaken, Da Lat is at a higher elevation than Saigon--not really in the mountains, but not as low as Saigon. Is that right? Also a bit north of Saigon, right? Is the spoken Vietnamese in Da Lat Tieng Chung? (I'm sure that's spelled wrong, but I mean central dialect).

Kat Words really fail at at time like this - It's just beyond comprehension - I'm just wondering what I would do given the situation - Irish temper -yep got one of those - Oh, and I think God invented PMS so things could get done - Hopefully the coupling of Irish temper & a hefty dose of PMS will get the job done! quite nervy of the local appl store - I think I would try elsewhere - and the missing ovens - hmmm hate to be a naysayer but in this day & age I would think they could track that down handily - which causes me to wonder if it's not being sold on a street corner somewhere - Best of luck!

Glenda, I'm glad you had a great day with GS. But I have to take issue with your comment that things can't be much better. Your life is about to take a big turn for the better real soon--when you and PJR board that ship for Alaska! I'm so happy for both of you, and I know it will be fantastic. Of course, we expect pictures! Hugs to you both!

Yeah! Life is good, isn't it? Enjoy your cruise. We went on the Princess cruise/land tour 5 yr. ago for our 25th. So very beautiful.

I ate/drank it all and was luvin' you bad until I figured out that the road kill was some kind of fake Alabama hoax! At fist I thought it was freeze dried possum but it soon became obvious that you had slipped me some kind of spoof of a roadside concoction completely devoid of any protein whatsoever!!!
You just DON'T DO GEORGIA boys that way!! Still, the RC and moonpie was good.

Glenda...are you wanting Liz to post the pic? She doesn't get around these parts much anymore, but I *think* I may have it somewhere. One of our sweet (now deceased) members emailed it to me. I'd have to do some searching on my other computer..but I might can find it if you want to "re-live the memory"!!!!
