Does anyone ever hear how griff is doing?

Bonnie's grandson with special needs. Man she loved that little boy. It was always so enlightening.

It hasn't been very long since Steph recieved a letter from Harley with pictures of Griff.
He is doing very well. No signs of leukemia!!
Bonny sure did love that boy, and he loved his 'lolly'
She accepted her death so willingly because she said she was merely holding up her end of the bargain she made with God. She was a very special lady.

I remember Bonnie and Griff very well. I would love if someone could re-post the pics that were with the post about them. She was one very, very special lady, with a pretty special place in heaven right now.

Actually, variegated citrus do appreciate a little respite from strong afternoon sun. You'll know if your variegated citrus is suffering, as it will appear sunburnt. If your tree is in a container, simply place it where it will get some shade during the hottest hours of the day. Regular citrus prefer as much sun as they can receive, but will manage pretty darned well even with a fair amount of shade. Citrus are very adaptable trees. Patty S.

Certainly good and valid comments about buying hvac equipment at a discount and and then finding someone to install it properly. I expect that most shops will turn a DIY'er down flat and might even be rude about it because they feel they're somehow being cheated out of their due profit. But there surely must be shops around, well qualified, willing to take $1000 for a day's work for two guys to make sure a job is done right. Too bad there's no way to start a list of them. By the way the Goodman "Warranty not valid for Internet sales" is just window dressing to keep their dealers happy. As one mail-order retailer said, "just call up and order it over the phone." The words on their web site are very specifically about Internet sales. Or buy something other than Goodman - lots of brands are available "wholesale to the public." But in any case the real problem is support. The wholesaler may be an honest Goodman (etc) dealer, you buy over the phone, find a great installer who does a perfect job, then six months later the fickle finger breaks your compressor. The "free" replacement part will incur two-way shipping costs and take a few days to arrive. Then you'll need to pay someone to change it out. But do I understand correctly that you'll pay for labor in any case, unless you pony up for a contract with your installer?

ALL the time. And we see things that are unexplained too. The first thing that happened in this house was when I walked across the yard, across the cool decking to the old antique wagon to feed the birds. When I came back, the hose was on. It wasn't when I went by the first time. It had one of those sprayers on it that looked like the firehose type. You had to turn it to make the water come on. My son called me at work one day in early September. Wanted to know if I turned the heat on. This my not sound odd, but we NEVER use our heat...ever. He came home and it was over 100 degrees in our house and the heater was and had been on for quite awhile. Our bedroom has a door to the back yard. When it is nice out, we sleep with that door open. One night, we got into bed and I realized we hadn't opened it. DH said he would get it. He got out of bed and hadn't even taken a step, when the door flew wide open. We have a ceiling fan in our bedroom. DH was laying on the bed, watching it. It stopped by itself. He called out to me, but I was in the living room and didn't hear him. Then it started again. He came to see where I was, as he thought I was playing a trick on him. Our walk in closet light goes off and on, on and off by itself. As does the light in the hallway bathroom. We see shadows flitting down the hallway. DS has had what feels like a hand brush the back of his head in his bedroom, which is actually the den. He has heard a female voice say things and seen a figure walk out of his room. Our pit bull will sit in front of the sofa, like she is looking at someone sitting there. All the sudden she will stand up, keep looking at the sofa and just wag the heck out of her tail. No one is on the sofa. I am not sure if this "ghost" is the original owner who I have heard had alzheimer's and would walk out of the house and down the street unattended or if it is my late FIL. I used to be convinced it was my FIL, but I am not so sure anymore. But then I think maybe again it is. When we lived in our last house, he lived with us and passed away while we lived there. I used to hear him walking in the house, with his walker scraping the baseboards. I saw him twice in the garage. I am not afraid of the goings on in our house. However, my son? He is totally freaked out about it.

OHH Jenni...have Steph post the pics if she would!! I'd love to see how Griff has grown up!!

That must have been before my time. I just started coming to this site when Bonnie was in her last stages. She seemed such a grand lady. Didn't know about Griff, but would love to hear more of the story and see pics.

Oh yes Jenni, if Steph has the time and is feeling up to it. We'd enjoy getting to see Griff again. I can't imagine how he's grown. It's wonderful he beat leukemia, what a blessing. I will always miss Bonny Granny. What a sweetheart she was.

Oh my, this brings back so many memories. I remember when we all sent Bonnie angels when she was in the hospital. She was such a beautiful soul. I miss her.

I too would love to see a photo of Griff and hear about how he's doing.

I hear from Harley maybe a couple times a year. I should call him. Im not at home this week but I'll get in touch with him next week and see if he's got any recent pics he can send me. He's such a nice man.

For those of you that are new to KT Griff was Bonny's grandson.
When Griff was diagnosed with leukemia Bonny was of course devastated.
She took care of him while her daughter Petey worked.
He was such an important part of her life. He had downs syndrome and I'm sure the reason he did so
well was because of the love and care Bonny gave him.
When he was diagnosed Bonny prayed to God that she would gladly give her life if Griff could survive.
When she found out she had cancer and would not live very long, her words were, 'that's ok, I made a deal with God and I am only holding up my end of the deal'
She died as gracefully as she lived....and she is missed so much!

I sure miss Bonnie, my "rat-killing" friend who really tricked me with that phrase of hers. LOL I too would love to see recent pics of Griff. Steph, let Harley know how much we think about him and Griff and send our love to both.
