Thanks everyone. And to think I was going to leave gilmar in the store, last one and all. Blanca- Your Rio Negro pic looks almost exactly like my flower, thanks for that. Mariae- I also got my Grandeur from edens blooms. Do you remember if he was selling Rio Negro on his site or E-Bay? Juan- Nice photos! That is what I was expecting from Grandeur and I think you found the name for for the other one. They are very close Thanks!

Flaurabunda, it's so funny you mentioned cameras. I was reloading some ancient photos into Facebook last night and it's quite startling to see how much my photo-taking has changed. Back in 2009 (the year of Gemini), I did not know how to handle my camera with the right sun exposures but even so Gemini was always beautiful; to this day save for Folklore and with Penny Lane (growing in sunlight) I've never seen a more perfectly formed rose. Kansas heat ruins rose shapes save for those 2 roses. Gemini always looked good no matter what the lighting; constantly spiraling, and your photo just reminded me so much of what she once was before she died. I loved that rose so much and she was a sport-fragranced one too. Double the Agony of losing her.... I'm afraid to get any other Gemini save from J&P because so few Gemini's have the deep coral, and I still hope to find one just like it.... I also check my local nursery but no dark coral Gemini yet...I bet you are probably being "too modest" or not breaking the hard truth for fear it'd make me "insane with grief" lol. Anyway, your photo of her was very "Haunting" and beautiful-- I felt like it was seeing her all over again.... I also forgot to say, I love your "Wall of Fire". Just brilliant! :D

Paul, LYNN ANDERSON is a nice rose, but she doesn't repeat very well for me. She tends to grow about 6ft tall, and makes a nice plant for the back of the border, but the bloom production just isn't there. Could be my crappy soil, and the fact that she's in a somewhat shady spot too. Altho I have other roses near her that bloom well. So I dunno? Maybe the others aren't as fussy. And maybe she just needs some extra fertilizer and mulch to be happy. You may have better results in your situation. Thanks Florence!! Hey Kate! Yeah it was nice to get some of the potted ones in the ground. And some of them are already happier than they were in the pots. But this morning I see the deer have been back! Auuggghhhh!! Guess I'll have to spray my repellent today. Dangit!

I do hike alone at this wildlife sanctuary if I can't find someone to go with me. It's just a a short distance from my office so is a perfect retreat after a harrowing day. I feel perfectly safe there but carry pepper spray in the event a human animal gets a little aggressive. :-\ This Bobcat showed no fear and sat in front of us (I was there with a neighbor gal) for a couple of minutes before casually getting up and walking into the bushes. After crossing a small bridge (6 ft or so), my friend and I traveled down a small trail off the main trail only to discover it was a dead-end. When we turned around to head back to the bridge I looked up and the cat was just sitting there ahead of us, right where we had just passed. He was between us and the bridge. My neighbor was *very* nervous even after the cat left the trail. I stopped to peer into the bushes and saw it sitting calmly about 15 feet in, blending perfectly with a log it was sitting in front of. I hike this area at least twice a week and it was my first Bobcat sighting. Jodi-

Drew WORSHIPS the ground Justin walks on Linda! I've never seen such a case of hero worship like this, but since Drews Daddy died they really have a bond! Justin is so good to him.
The GB's and I were talking about the Auntie and Justin's wedding, and their parts in it (ring bearers and flower girl) I'd told them they could each walk down the aisle and then go stand with their Mommie (the boys) or their Daddy (Maddie) and Drew looks at me and says "I'm standing with Justin! Bwaaahahaha Auntie might not be the only one walking back down that aisle with Justin!

I didn't think I had one of Maddie last weekend. Both Daddy (my DS)and her were being silly here and she did not want her pic taken! This is one my DD snapped and emailed me. I am on the right! LOL
