Treated myself to a cup of key lime pie ice cream, my favorite, and I have no regrets :o) {{!gwi}} Love it with the graham cracker crust mixed in.

So cool, so refreshing! Now I'm happy for a while.

Key lime has been my favorite for several years. Brusters's doesn't have it all the time, and I just KNEW they had it today. Yea!

So do you eat your favorite on a cone or in a cup?

Just give me scoop in a cup and I'm happy!

I love it in a cup, no topping. My favorite, which is very hard to find, used to be called Lemon, but now I see it called Lemon Custard (not to be confused with lemon sherbet). But since I can almost never find lemon custard, I go for coffee ice cream as a strong favorite. Peach is good too, but made with real peaches only, no peach flavoring.

LOVE lemon custard. Used to get it at Baskin Robins, but they are all gone from here.

Mother always had a bowl of homemade vanilla ice cream in the freezer for my dad.

She made it with pet milk, etc. She didn't leave a recipe.
Only made in in the refrigerator freezer.

For Ice Cream, I like my Tupperware one, and the Oneida one. They both work extremely well. for portioning food (scooping batter for muffins, cupcakes, making uniformly sized cookies, sizing mini burgers or candy) I have several Rubbermade portion scoops in various sizes.

make an angelfood cake to put that ice cream with. Real, home made angel food cake is nothing...NOTHING like a mix or the bought stuff....and it takes about 12 whites to make a cake! Angel food cake...Swan's Down Flour box 1 1/2 cups sifted flour ( sift first, then measure) 1/2 c. sifted sugar sift together 3 times 1 1/2 cups egg white at room temp 1/4 tsp salt 1 1/4 tsp cream of tartar Beat until soft peaks form....add 1 1/3 cups of sifted sugar a little at a time and beat until stiff peaks form, Add 1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract and 1/2 tsp almond extract, beat to blend. Fold in the combined flour and sugar 1/4 of the amount at a time. Pour into an ungreased tube pan ( it must be a pan that has never been greased and used for rolls or something else, or the grease in the cracks of the pan will not allow the cake to "climb the pan") Place in a pre-heated 375 degree oven and bake 40 to 50 minutes. I'm copying a "bigger chain" who has the oreo crust on their ice cream cake ;) Maybe I'll just be sure not to smash it down too hard? so it can be cut. I'm still deciding on the topping. I might even use a "fluffier" frosting (Ree Drummond) that looks like it might stay stablized (with flour in it?!) well through freezing, and somewhat thawing. It won't be frozen when it's cut. I did think whipped cream, but I can't see how it'll stand up well, even without freezing it, just adding it right before serving it? I thought about using a can of Reddi wip, cream out of a can that you spray on? It's pretty good, tastewise and it might work for much the same reasons as cool whip. Maybe. He just likes to try to make his own cake. Part of the fun! He doesn't care what it looks like, yet. Wait'll he's been cooking as long as ann's or calillo's son. Then, he'll care. No thanks. We have good ice cream, frozen yogurt, gelato and soft serve readily available. Much is locally or semi-locally produced. I know how to make ice cream at home. This is just another gadget for people who want everything one size fits all and requires no effort at all. Like getting off the sofa and going out for ice cream or making your own for real.

So sorry you got sunburned.
Take a couple of ibuprofen for the inflammation and soothe it Maalox liquid.......works wonders.
Drink lots of water, too.

I also "loved"lemon custard,and i say it that way as we can't find it anymore either!! Found it several years ago at BR and they told us then it was a seasonal thing!!!! OK.When i first came to Calif 44 yrs ago,thrifty,now known as Rite Aid had the best Lemon custard,then they went through all those changes and they also never carry it anymore.

So now my favorite is Butter Pecan,how do i like it??? If it wasn't for the calories and fat in it i could very easily eat the whole 1.5 qts in one sitting,but i know better,so just have a couple scoops in a bowl,or a sugar cone.

Ice cream is my biggest weakness!!!

In a cup with a cone on top. I like all sorts of ice cream, but don't like a chocolate or coffee base or nuts.

In a cup. My favorite is Brewsters Ice cream with birthday cake. The cake is cooked with icing included. Yum!

My favorite ice cream flavor is black raspberry,then coffee, and rum raisin.
It has to be in a cone, sugar cone is preferable. What can be better than getting to the end of the cone and that last bite you pop into your mouth and the cone and ice cream become one....yummy.
