Yesterday I was watching my granddaughters.Ruby who is 29 mos came up to me & ask me...Where is TT (another gramma) I told her TT's at work. Ruby says "No shes not shes at Bingo" LOL Then when I told my daughter what she said ..come to find out she does go to Bingo on Tuesdays

When DD was small we lost a large goldfish. She was appropriately sad and seemed to understand the circle of life talk we had. "So Dudley has gone to heaven?". Yes, he has gone to heaven and this is just his body. "So.........." and her face brightens up "Can we eat it?!?!?"

My granddaughter who was almost 2,Twenty years ago,use to come and put her elbow on the coffee table and her hand under her chin. She would look at us and say "wanna talk?" She also would come to us and say "Poopiedukes" translating what her Dad taught her, "Put up your dukes".
My daughter in law has been using Poopiedukes as her email for years. My GD,Samantha,will be getting married in September. Aren't memories fun....

I love these! Last weekend my grandaughters were playing with their dolls. Madison, the 6 year old said "Look at my baby, she was just born yesterday". Her 3 year old sister, Megan said "Look at my baby, she was born tomorrow".

We play double pinochle. When giving a meld bid you can say "by" and "me" each word means you have 5 points. So if you say "by me" you're telling your partner you have ten points.

We were sitting around the table playing one day, all our kids were running around and playing and I said "by me, by me". My son Nickolas, who was about 3 or 4 at the time said "buy me, buy me, a G. I. Joe!" We cracked up laughing. Still joke about it to this day and Nick is now 31.

When I was three, my Mother said she was so sad, my little cousin Mike had chicken pox. I said "He should just eat his chicken pox pie."

When my niece was about 3, we were out strolling and passed a young man standing next to a motorcycle. She pointed and said, "Look, auntie, it's a murdercycle!" Aptly put, IMO.

While trying to take a relaxing bath, my then 4 year old came in to see me. Upon seeing my unshaven legs he said "Oh Mom, you have splinters!"

My first born used to mispronounce bicycle as "bike-a-cycle" and hamburger as "hang-u-ber".

Another lady-in-the-bath story: Two of my childhood friends lived next door to one another and were in and out of their houses like brother and sister when they were pre-school age. One day Johnny went next door to find his friend. He roamed the house, calling for her. Upstairs, he found the bathroom door ajar and could hear the shower running. In he went, pulling back the shower curtain and asking, "Mrs. E., where's Mary?" The mom recovered enough to say Mary had gone to the store with her father. "OK, well thanks." And off he went.

and my now 40+ used to say nap-kune, instead of napkin...I must have corrected her a hundred times...

My oldest girls used to say nicken and nackin for napkin! We still laugh about it. Plus, corn on the curb and corn on the scob!

I took care of all 7 of my grandchidren during the week.Sort of a Mema Day Care. They all stayed with me until they started kindergarten. Whenever I asked what they wanted for lunch my third granddaughter would beg for "misagehtti". We still call it misaghetti. One night many years later we were out at an Italian Restaurant and the waitress asked what we wanted to order and my husband ordered misaghetti.
