Sounds healthy to me......

I had browned some ground turkey and then added a can of mushroom soup to pour over mashed potatoes. I had found a bag of Pictsweet butter beans a while back. Cooked them as a side dish.

PS: Glenda: I think it was you that mentioned Pictsweet Seasoning Blend on here once. I tried it a while back, and now start a lot of my soups with it.

patti-now you have 2 posts. Why is it down south everyone loves their sandwich meat thick. Here in TN one piece of meat looks about 1/4" thick. My husband is part Russian. Glad they all had a good time.
Rained all day today so all I did was some paper work & read the Sunday papers. Nice quite day.
Hubby had peanut butter & jelly sandwiches & I had a bagel-oh yes he finished the cake too.

Today was a gorgeous day, we actually hit 22C (72F). I did a load of whites, and damned if some of the clothes have yellow stains that look like oil. Have no idea what would do that. I even put a bit of bleach in, just to perk them up. Would that make yellow stains?

We also went to the grocery store to pick up some carrots and a couple other things. When I went to put the carrots away, every one of them had black mold spots on them. I was ticked and didn't feel like going to the store, so hubby went on his bicycle.
The orange coloured plastic bags they use makes it hard to see the true colour, and any blemishes. Anyway, he had no problem exchanging them.....and picked a different brand. These ones were perfect.

We just finished dinner. I made brown rice in the oven with chicken broth, carrots and onions chopped and some seasonings. Also fried a couple of pork chops and put a honey/soy sauce and ginger glaze on it. Broccoli too. Man it was good.

Picked up a cherry pie and it's warming in the leftover heat of the oven.

DH is out of town, so I'm by myself. I'm having a salad with spinach, tomatoes, avocado and roast chicken with cilantro dressing.

Italian sausage, with green, red, yellow, orange peppers and onion. Linguini and marinara...mmmmmm it was DELICIOUS!

Found Tony's Hot Dogs last week, as friend mentioned having a fried bologna egg and cheese sandwich there, for breakfast.

Got there too late for breakfast but had a fried bologna, cheese, onion, lettuce and tomato on wheat and only $2.80 total. Thick slice of bologna and thick slice of tomatoes.

Place was packed at 1:00, and still coming in when I left.

Captain D's senior fish dinner, today.

My group is going to Surin's West tomorrow. 20 of us. It's a Thai restaurant. Thai coconut soup comes with every order. Yummmmmm!

We did the Costco thing today so I picked up a roast chicken. Still watching the golf tournament but soon as I finish, will make some pan fried potatoes and a veggie medley to go with the chicken. Not really hungry because I had several breakfast bars that I made yesterday. They're really good. Won't be making them again until I need them for the tournament.

Shirley, your dinner sounds really good. I changed my mind. Or rather I forgot I had sausage cheese grits leftover so we're having that with biscuits.

Mary, most of our lunch meat is thin, too. Geez, we have to put 3 slices on for it to even seem like a sandwich. Yeah, I saw there are two posts now. About the time I was going to see if I could fix it, we had the worst thunderstorm we've had all year. In half an hour we got more rain than that whole 3 days of tropical storm. The golf course across the street had a pool and the ater was just streaming down the street. Thunder shook the house more than once. Glad you had a relaxing day--it's about time!!

Jasdip, I wouldn't think bleach would spot the clothes, do you think someone used the washer before you and tried to dye something yellow? Your dinner sounds delish! Glad DH took the carrots back for you.

Glenda, I never thought about putting onions on bologna, but I bet that was really good. I can't believe there was a good restaurant you didn't already know about. You always seem to know the best places to eat. And the price was great. Your dinner tomorrow sounds like fun with friends and good food (or at least I hope it is). I love that coconut soup with the lemongrass and chicken. Yum! Have a ball!

Georgysmom, we don't have Costco here but Sam's has excellent roasted chicken also. I love to go to Sam's even if it's just to look at stuff (as if that ever happened). Sounds like you've had a nice, relaxing day, too!

I made Rachel Ray's Tuscan chicken last night and served it over pasta.....expected to have some left over for tonight's supper. DH loved it so much there in not enough for one person.
So we are going out for Chinese food tonight.

Freshly caught grilled halibut, and aparagus grilled on the BBQ

We are in Moncton, NB, Canada. We arrived here early this afternoon. I made up some chicken salad for sandwiches, which we ate here at the MH.

Then we decided to go to Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park on the Bay of Fundy. It has been cloudy and one and off misty rain all day.

So on the way back from our ride we stopped at a DQ and had some ice cream. If the guys get hungry they can surf the fridge for something to eat.

Everyone's dinner sounds so good. Patti, this salad is quite tasty and so easy to prepare. I can have this on the table in about 10 minutes. I love that in the summer, because I want to come home after work and spend as much time as possible at the community pool. Tonight at the last minute I grated some Trader Joe's pepper cheese and added it. I think I'll continue with that. Plus l love avocado and cilantro in basically anything.
Glenda, enjoy your Tha and the coconut soup tomorrow. Thai is one of my favorites and I have to have a bowl of the soup every time we go.

I have a piece of salmon, with a little ginger teriyaki sauce atop it, cooking in the oven. Will toss a frozen steamed-vegetable packet in the microwave and maybe cook up a little Pepperidge Farm stuffing.

(I already started with dessert, tho! Some Yoplait frozen yogurt, mixed berry flavor -- yummm!)

After about 13 years, we replaced our Showtime rotisserie ("Set it and forget it! ") with a larger model and are cooking a couple of chickens in it. We used the heck out of the first one....it's still working, but we just wanted one a little bit bigger. This is the first meal on the new one.

It's my favorite way to have chicken. We'll have corn on the cob and a mixed greens salad with fresh raspberries.

Jeaninwa, I swear your post wasn't there when I responded earlier. I don't know what's going on with my computer (or this site??). Your dinner sounds delicious and colorful.

Carol, aren't husbands a wonderful gauge of whether we should make a recipe again or not? Sounds like RR's chicken dish was a big hit at your house. Enjoy your Chinese dinner.

Pammyfay, you're my kind of girl--eat dessert first! I'm trying not to buy any meat/fish until after our trip next month, but that salmon sure sounds good.

Rhizo, we had a rotissiere but it was so big I didn't have anyplace to store it. I don't remember if it was a Showtime but it sure made a good chicken--also hot dogs. It worked by rotating around and around.

Sephia, I've never had fresh halibut, but I bet it's delicious because the frozen is darned good. What a wonderful dinner. Wish I was at your house :-)

top sirloin grilled inside in one of thosed ridged iron skillits...i butterfly cut it so it was a fast cook...we hadn't had any for the longest time(sam's club) just a salad and mashed...

i'm trying for high fiber diet..per doc's orders...breakfast and lunch are the easiest...dinner is harder...

Patti - fresh halibut is delicious. I caught it yesterday (56lb!) so it can't get much fresher! A little olive oil, butter, and garlic basted on it on the BBQ - yum! And the asparagus was fresh from the local farmers' market.

We enjoyed our meal so much last night. It was baked halibut, roasted fingerling potatoes, sauteed garlic green beans, and homemade rolls with butter. No one wanted dessert afterwards.

Sephia--56 lbs??? Holy cow--you'll be eating halibut for a while. Lucky you! Walnutcreek, next time you want halibut, you know who to call :-)
