I made chicken livers and had leftover potato salad that I put on a bed of artisan lettuce.

The dishes are done and I'm already to watch the Belmont Stakes. Too bad about I'll Have Another.

I'm cooking tomorrow, as it's gonna be a really rainy day, so I stopped by Fresh Market and got the fixings! Yea!

Grilling again! I love my Big Green Egg.
Salmon, Tilapia, and a bunch of veggies- green beans, acorn squash, small portabella mushrooms, onion, Roma tomato halves. I think I will bake an apple in the egg, as well. Again, no more cooking at this house for the next several days.

New potatoes are in the grocery store! So, for dinner tonight is new potatoes with chives and butter, baked halibut and tossed green salad.

Muggy and rainy today, going to be very hot and humid tomorrow.

I had a meeting this morning, and hubby was rehearsing with a new band; a female country singer who is popular here, recruited him. He just got home at 7. While he was gone I made 2 loaves of bread and a lemon cake. We just had sour cream pancakes for dinner. Flavourful, and light.

Had an Auction today, got too hot and not in the mood for food...SOOOOO to please the 15 y/o grandson it is Tombstone pizza and that is it!

Last night didn't have a lot to work with as I have to go grocery shopping today. So, I was gong to make a chicken dinner out of a box but when I opened the box the mix and dehydrated brocali was open. It was like the packets never sealed when they were filled in the factory. Part of the brocali contents were in the bottom of the box so I threw it out. I had already browned the chicken so I cut it up and threw in some cream of mushroom soup, water, wide egg noodles and evaporated milk. Little pepper. It turned out pretty good. I had a bag of brussel sprouts too so made them also.

Geez, I went to bed at 8 last night so I didn't get to read what ya'll ate.

Shirley, I'll trade meatloaf for chicken livers. I don't know why I don't make them at home, but I never have. It was a real shame about I'll Have Another. He was born here in Ocala and sold for only $11,000 in a nearby county. Bet that guy could kick himself!

Glenda, have you decided what to take to your luncheon? I love tamales but we haven't had any luck with them locally. Even at the Mexican bakery/restaurant. Sandwich is on the way--you should get it about Wednesday :-)

Hounds, I'd love to have a Big Green Egg. I like smokey stuff! It uses charcoal, right? Oh yum!! You won't even have to cook at all for a few days, you lucky duck.

Blfenton, thanks for the reminder. I have halibut in the freezer Harry bought at the fish market. Your dinner sounds delicious. The potatoes I made are just regular potatoes au gratin with gruyere cheese and a funny method of making the casserole.

Mary, you had a feast! I will have to try chicken parmesan. I've never made it and probably only had it out once or twice. Bet you enjoyed every bite!

Jasdip, congrats to DH!! Hope he enjoys his new gig. It sounds like a big step up for him. Sure hope so. Every time I tell Harry we're having pancakes for dinner, his whole face lights up!
