I am home!!!

I just got in about 15 minutes ago from my trip to Hawaii. I had to check in and tell you all that I met with Dorothy HI yesterday. We spent 6 hours together talking and laughing and eating. Lots of you should have felt your ears burning..lol Wanda VA I gave Dorothy a hug for you like I promised. What a great gal Dorothy is and it turns out we have lots of things in common. We are planning on meeting again when I return to Hawaii next year. We both took pictures but since my computer is down she promised to come and post the picture.

Dorothy please thank Jennifer again for bringing you to meet me. I really enjoyed meeting her too.

Welcome home! You must have sneaked out while I was gone, too, Nita. I'm glad you had a great time, how cool that you got to see Dorothy, I've always liked her, don't see enough of EITHER of you, though! Or Duckie, her too!

Can't wait to see pictures, Nita. Welcome back to the real world.

I've read all of the comments here and I finally had a chance to watch the segment on I Am Home. This is what I saw and heard regarding Will.I.Am. He appeared to be shy, humble and passionate about his quest and his goals. I also watched the second tape where he gave his grandmother a house and went back to visit his old home. This is a man that grew up poor and as an adult has decided to give back. Frankly, after watching the segment, how anyone could question his motives is beyond me. Here is a successful young man who is NOT in the news daily being talked about doing drugs, drinking, beating anyone or doing anything negative and instead of his venture being received positively, there was immediate negative energy. I just don't understand that. You know folk often criticize the news, media and TV for often portraying negative information about celebrities and here we have something positive and still there are complaints. I think it is fantastic what he is doing and I intend to contribute to his fund. Lurkkish thank you for bringing this to our attention because frankly, I've heard more lately about negative things regarding celebrities going on and had not heard a word about this. Really, I mean how sad is the fact that such a wonderful cause is going on, yet hardly any press has put been put out there about it. Also, here is another tidbit that many may not know about, often young musical celebrities like Will.I.Am have charities and give back but this fact is not often reported, rather the focus is on the bad boys and girls of the music world and all the crazy shenagins that they do.

It would be logical to think that when we enter Heaven there will be a spiritual change. As if we would finally become "whole" again. As a result of this transformation our relationships with one another would become perfect in that we are set free. Even the most mature of us struggle thru life with our relationships. Sometimes we cannot overcome barriers that keep us from truthfuly experience other people due to pride, jealousy, shame......It is so sad that these issues cannot be worked out here on earth while we are here together. It is even more so when the people involved are those closes to us as in families. Try as we might we cannot get it right with parents, spouses, children. We love them but it is not yet perfect. I think also that Heaven, our final home, is not a stagnant place as Hope is eternal. We will no longer have to grow toward perfection but grow in perfection. One of the hardest things for me to do is to let a person go when issues cannot be resolved. Sometimes people want something from you that you cannot give or the thing desired will cause infinite amounts of pain to others. Try as you might to maintain the connection you cannot. These people sometimes are lost to us in our lives. But, even so, we may meet again one day free from these earthly shackles which define us and Peace will be restored.

So glad you had a wonderful trip! Hey, I had a great one with the Boston gals, even though I didn't get seated at their table. Plan on the February trip, next year. Are you? I also want to do the Northern Italy trip, if Ellen and I can be roommates, in early fall. Sad to hear about her DH's death. She emailed me when I returned from my Caribbean trip. Hi Nita! Glad you're back. Hope you took a lot of pictures. I'd love to go to Hawaii and probably your pictures will be the only way I'll get there. I can't wait to see beautiful Hawaii through your camera!

Now, SIX HOURS?!?!?! Is that all? lol I bet the time just flew by. Hi to Dorothy too!

Welcome home. I will be home tomorrow morning. I have spent the past week in CA while Iowa flooded. My neighbor tells me my kitties miss me.

Hi Nita, welcome back. I didn't realize you were gone to Hawaii. I'm glad you got to meet Dorothy. She seldom posts here anymore, but I enjoy reading hers when she does.

Oh, we had such a good time together. My daughter took a picture but it's a little blurry. I tried to fix it but I think I look funny. Not really smiling big but maybe Nita'a turned out better.
