White albacore packed in water.
Drain water....feed to cat.
Add chopped onion, chopped celery, a sprinkling of raisins and just enough Hellman's mayo to hold it all together.

Tuna Salad
Packed in water and drained
4 hard boiled eggs, chopped
2-4 celery ribs diced
2 Tablespoons of DelMonte Sweet Pickle Relish
Few tablespoons mayonaise
1/4 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp paprika

Serve with Wheat Thins. Yum.

Solid white tuna packed in water
Drain water, feed to cats
Run interference to keep dog from getting it
Mix with:
chopped celery
green onion
black olives
halved cherry tomatoes (a tasty homegrown variety like Black Cherry)
Serve on lettuce

I really like it with a granny smith apple diced into it too!

Drain the tuna, add some miracle whip and sliced olives , the kind stuffed with pimiento. This is my Mom's recipe.

Just add mayo to the drained tuna with salt and pepper, and spread on bread, with a lettuce leaf. Simple, but that's the why I like it!

2T fresh chopped dill from the garden, 2-3 stalks celery, diced; one bunch green onions, sliced (whites and about 3" of green part). Enough Hellmann's mayo to hold it together. Fresh ground black pepper to taste.

Yum!

Very similar to what everyone else uses except I add dried dill and a splash of lemon juice.

Just told Dh this afternoon that it had been forever since I have had tuna. This post makes me really want it. Guess I am going to have to go to the store now!

Mayo
Diced onions
Diced pickles
diced eggs.

1.Tuna packed in water
2.Drain and put into a small mixing bowl.
3.Add sweet pickle relish, about 1/3 of the tuna volume, or more.
4.Add just enough mayo to hold the mix together.
5.Make sandwiches using whole wheat bread.

Optional:
1. Toast bread.
2. Add lettuce leaves.

I make mine pretty much like everyone else. I use hard boiled eggs in mine, some celery, pickle relish, mayo or Miracle Whip, and drained water packed tuna.

I would rather talk chicken salad.Love it on crackers with a big sliced tomato. Oh now I am hungry.

Add loads of Dill and Black pepper, and sometime Tarragon.

I've never tried it with olives. Love them, so I'll have to try.

Can of tuna, packed in water. Drain, give water to cat...hard boiled egg, sliced green olives, green or purple onions, Claussen dill, celery, sprinkle of Tony's seasoning.

And mayo. I forgot that.

My only variation on the standard theme is to add a little chopped pickled jalapeno and some curry powder.

anyway I can get it...Tuna Salad is probably my favorite sandwich...And I probably never make it the same way twice. I like it as you all mention above but also the same way I make my chicken salad....diced celery, chopped walnuts, and a handful of dried cranberries.

I much prefer it packed in oil but it is hard to find around here. I buy solid albacore in the 8 packs at Sams Club ....

If I am using the tuna packed in oil, I just leave some of the oil and use that as the base to my dressing...

I will pass on the tuna salad. Tuna is one of the few things I will not eat.

When I was a child, I didn't eat much of anything..VERY picky! In the summer we had 2 weeks of VBS from 9-3, so I would get a packed lunch. My mother would make me a tuna sandwich on buttered white bread and cut the crusts off, a handful of Cheetos and orange pop!!!! I thought I had died and was in heaven! LOL I never ate this at home, but loved it VBS.

Tuna, usually packed in water but since doing the low carb thing lately been buying it in oil, pre-low carb: Miracle Whip and pickle relish, now: Real mayonaise. Plus chopped onions, celery (if I have it in the house); pre-low carb: spread on lightly toasted bread, now: spoon on top of lettuce.
