You are cruel and vicious! I went out yesterday though and had some absolutely delicious pork riblets.

Hmmm... I have a rack of baby backs in the freezer.... this weekend could be a good time to cook 'em.

Cynic-My DH doesn't like ribs with bones.I love them but never cook them.He will eat the boneless ones though.These were really good.So tender they were falling apart.I seasoned them with salt,pepper and garlic powder then browned them,
added a sliced onion,covered them,put them in the oven and cooked the about 3 hours.They had theirs on a bun but I just ate mine with BBQ sauce over them,and I did finish the sauce in the plate with a spoon!LOL

I love beef ribs and I am sure they smell wonderful.

I made pork ribs with homemade bbq sauce for my sister's birthday dinner. While I was making the sauce she was moaning in the living room because she said it smelled so good. I love a good homemade bbq sauce and can eat it with a spoon too.

Three of us went to a New Orleans restaurant. I had fried crawfish tails, to die for, and crawfish etoufee, and the THREE of us shared New Orleans bread pudding and topped with pralines, also to die for.

I was telling her how much sugar is in all those bottled sauces. She wants the recipe.

I have to make some up. Will cut back on the butter some and no salt in it. See how it is that way. I can't eat the salt anymore. bummer.....

Cathy-How weird.LOL Yes that's the one! I haven't made it in probably a year and I just got a craving today.It isn't low calorie by any means but it does use honey instead of sugar.I never put salt in it either.I only had extra hot horseradish today and just about 1/3 of what the recipe called for.Good thing I didn't put the full amount.It was a little warm,but good.I'll send you the recipe.

This is a sweet and tangy sauce.Good on any kind of meat.Can be used as a basting sauce or dipping sauce.My Daddy was a short order cook most of his life and this is his recipe.

Lillie's Barbecue Sauce

1 large can tomato sauce(28 oz)I used crushed tomatoes today because I didn't have sauce.First time I've ever strayed from the original recipe but it worked just fine.
1/2 can honey (Use the tomato sauce can)
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. white pepper (Black pepper will work too.You just have to adjust the amount to your own taste.)
3 Tbsp. Frenches prepared mustard
4 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
4 tsp. liquid smoke
2 Tbsp. prepared horseradish.Not the creamy kind.Just plain horseradish in a jar.
Salt to taste.I never salt mine.
1 stick of butter (Real butter,not margarine or any of that funky stuff.LOL)
Mix all ingredients together in a large pan except for the butter.Bring to a boil over medium heat and add the butter.Stir until melted then turn burner down and simmer until the sauce thickens.Stir occasionally and scrape down the sides of the pan with a wooden spoon or spatula.I usually cook mine about 30 minutes.

I forgot to say.I make this all the time with granular Splenda instead of honey and there is very little difference in the taste.My kids can't tell the difference so it must not be much.Good for anyone trying to reduce carbohydrates.
