My Publix had Lemon BlueBell again, finally. My favorite flavor!

Just came in from Brusters and they finally had lemon sherbet, but I tasted it and it was way too sweet.

Ended up getting key lime pie ice cream.

I had a bottle of Hershey's chocolate syrup in the fridge, so I bought a half gallon of vanilla ice cream. When we were kids, my dad used to call this "ice cream with chocolate dope". ha. This morning I picked some strawberries from my strawberry patch and will add some of those to make a sundae.
Wish I had some whipped cream - and a maraschino cherry, oh and why not add peanuts?

Not a big ice cream eater...but boy hubbie is, although once in a while a sherbert or sorbet is nice.

Ice cream sounds good. How about some Cicada ice cream? Seriously! It is (was) a big thing here in the St. Louis area. The health department is putting a end to it though.

I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole. ICK! Them are some ugly bugs!

I have a container of Heavenly Hash in the freezer. And Vanilla and Orange Crush pop: making floats! My dilemna is: which do I have? Ice cream? Float? Both?

I love vanilla then can add anything I want. Did that with Cold Stone Creamery--got plain vanilla and they added cherry pie filling.

I am going to make a root beer float.

I'm going to have a "BYOB" party soon. (Bring Your Own Banana) I'll provide makings for banana splits.

My Dollar Tree now has a freezer dept and they carry ice cream. I got some nice packages of 4/$
little dixie cups nice to have in the freezer and pull one out when I want it. They also carry larger sizes.

I was just at the store yesterday looking at ice cream...one flavor was called "movie night" It was popcorn flavored...I'll pass, thanks anyway.

Do you remember when banana splits were made with real ice cream and you got a scoop of each - vanilla, chocolate and strawberry? Then chocolate syrup, strawberry topping and also pineapple topping, nuts, whipped cream and a cherry. They were like a $1.50, maybe less. We kids thought it was the ultimate treat to get one at the drive-in, but of course the banana split usually melted before we could get the whole thing eaten. Remember the plastic boats they came in?

schoolhouse, I remember those well. A friend of mine has located the plastic boats to use for the party. Just got my ice cream maker today, and will make several of the three flavors, and then freeze them.
I love root beer floats too. Served those at a rock n' roll party we had.

It has finally cooled down here in N.E...but Iwill admit to having cream soda float with vanilla frozen yogurt.
Then while shopping the other day there was a sale on Ciao Bella Gelato..2 for 7.00 so I took the bait and bought Pistachio,, which was so sinfully delicious and Key Lime Graham..also delicious.
If you have never tried Gelato..you owe it to yourself..for a special treat..It is the nectar of the Gods..LOL

I had a vanilla cone today from McDonald's. Right now in this area they are only $.49.

I had a Weight Watcher Chocolate Rasberry ice cream bar today. They are surprisingly WONDERFUL! Only 2 points. I could eat the whole box and I have to fight my kids not to eat them all!

gemini40-I have recently discovered pistachios (yummy) and have made it a goal to try some pistachio flavored ice cream (or gelato) this summer!

A few weeks ago I had peanut butter ice cream in Plains, Georgia and boy was that good.
