I'm not Jannie but here's my recipe.

Chicken Salad With Grapes and Pecans

8 skinless/boneless chicken breast halves
Place breasts in a heavy cooking pot with 1 can of chicken broth,1 tbsp. poultry seasoning,1 Tbsp. salt,1 tsp. garlic powder,1 tsp. pepper and enough water to cover the chicken.Bring to a boil,cover and simmer about 1 hour until tender.Drain,cool and cut into chunks.You can also use the roasted chickens from the supermarket deli.I use the breasts because I like only the white meat.
Mix together in a med. size mixing bowl and set aside:
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
1 T. fresh chopped dill (you can use dried if you don't have fresh)
1 tsp. dried rosemary
Toss together:
The cooled chicken (about 8 cups)
2-3 large stalks celery, diced
1 lb. seedless green grapes
1/2 cup red onion,diced
1 1/2 C. broken pieces of pecans (walnuts are good too)
salt and pepper to taste
Pour the dressing over all,toss well and chill at least 1 hour before serving.

Chicken salad with mandarin oranges

3 cups cut up cooked chicken breast
1 tablespoon minced onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 cup thinly sliced celery
1 cup seedless grapes, halved
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges
1/2 cup toasted slivered almond
Directions
1Combine chicken, onion, salt, lemon and celery and refrigerate for several hours.
2At serving time, toss chicken carefully with grapes, oranges, almonds and mayonnaise

We went to a fancy little resturant one afternoon...I ordered the Chicken Salad sandwich...it had the grapes and nuts in it...I hated it...

I don't like fruits and meat mixed...so I picked all the grapes and nuts out.

Give me chicken with pickles and celery and onions...and I'll be happy.

I'm Jannie and here's my recipe-it's very inexact. Cut the meat off one whole cooked chicken, into cubes about one inch square. Pull green grapes off the stems-about 2 cups. Drain one large can mandarin oranges. Mix together loosely. Meanwhile mix one cup sour cream and one cup mayo. Stir toether, then throw over the chicken and fruit, turn to cover. Serve cold. It's better the second day. Very citrusy. You may want to serve over large lettuce leaves. Add salt and paper just before eating.

I sometimes use apple chunks, celery and walnuts in mine,,,,moisten with mayo,yummy on wheat berry bread

Here is another one-
Chicken Salad
2 cups cooked chicken
1 tsp. salt
1 T. onion
1 cup grapes
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup mandarin oranges
1/2 cup silvered almonds
1 cup pinapple chunks drained
1 cup cooked macaroni rings

Dressing-
1 cup Miracle Whip (yes I said M W)
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. sugar

One of our local eatery's uses dried cranberries and pecans in their chicken salad..it's so delish...

I just love shredded chicken, finely chopped celery and onions, with enough mayo just to hold it together.
Ms Myra's bbq, close to me, does it that way except with smoked grilled chicken. Yum!
